The atmosphere was what you would expect from a Vermont establishment. The beer was great, the meatballs were literally amazing. At first I felt the price of the pizza was a bit high but after eating it I had zero regrets, worth it. Our room was above the bar and provided ear buds. We wouldn’t need them on this night because we may have been the only guests....

I can see how this would be a good communal area to meet others in the busy months or go with a big group of friends. I loved the work from home room. The outdoor areas were really nice too. Unfortunately the entry keypad into my room was very finicky. It would take me multiple tries each time entering my room to hit the numbers just right. My toilet seat in the bathroom was also completely broken...

"This truly a gem! One of two remaining historic hotels in Detroit, everything about this hotel was something special. The room was spacious and creatively decorated with a large selection of LP's in the hallway. This also included a record player. The queen size beds were extremely comfortable. The fact that this hotel was walking distance from a diverse restaurant and entertainment options. This was especially true for me, the Vegan. Mykayla was extremely friendly and resourceful. "It is a lovely beautiful place, we visited at the end of snow season but I bet that this place is beautiful in fall foliage, summer and winter! Me and my best friend stayed at this amazing, cozy and family owned lodge and we will definitely be back we our friends and family. Lisa is very sweet, attentive and has two beautiful cats. "
