"Beautiful accommodation. Friendly staff. Great price including a wonderful breakfast."

"Room was clean and comfortable but starting to show signs of needing attention (worn through couch covers, split pillow case) the TV didnt want to turn on and there has been a downgrade in the bathroom amenities from the baylis & harding i loved. Parking was plentiful"

"Have stayed a number of times when visiting the area. Would highly recommend it"

"Very helpful staff. Good choice of food and drink. Comfy beds"

"Cute hotel, good location, modern, and nice to have the tavern attached for a drink and breakfast, but the double room was very small and with no closet, drawers or anywhere to put suitcases we had little floor space left. Too cramped for a couple but probably great for one person. Also it's loud if you have a room facing the square. I would stay again, but in a larger room at the back of the hotel."

"Very disappointing stay, particularly considering the price paid. The room was comfortable and the shower good, but housekeeping standards declined throughout our stay. Even after servicing, sheets were not changed, the floor was not hoovered and the bathroom was not mopped. Breakfast was poor in both quality and service, and got worse as the week progressed. "Schönes Hotel mit kleinen, gemütlichen Zimmern. Verdammt heiße Dusche, daher aufpassen! 😀 Gute Anbindung an die Autobahn, ausreichend Parkplätze und sehr nettes Personal. Wir kommen gerne wieder."

"The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. However, the room needed some TLC. The showerhead sprayed water in all directions, the toilet did not flush very well, and the bedsheets could have been cleaner, as there were marks that looked like possible oil stains. The bathroom could also do with a new blind, as the existing one had yellow staining. The room itself was comfortable, but unfortunately, the sash windows were left closed but unlocked which we did not discover until the...

"Breakfast , parking, staff, cleanliness"

"Father and son stopover after two days of hiking during a long drive home. The Wellington Hotel was exactly what we needed — easy check‑in, no fuss, clean rooms, comfortable beds, hot showers, and a genuinely tasty breakfast that set us up for the rest of the journey. Simple, welcoming, and spot‑on. Highly recommended."

"Great place and host, would highly recommend"

"Hotel is central. Bed is small for two and you hear noise for the other rooms."

"Clean"

"Great hotel, great location to walk into York. Breakfast superb and staff very helpful. Would stay again."
