"Rosie and Michael were unbelievable- Rosie made us feel at home immediately as we entered the Manor. The location was perfect for the area of Galveston that we were exploring. We enjoyed our visit - so much was because of the George Manor, their staff, and the porches with rocking chairs. We are so thankful we stayed there."

"The staff were great. Very kind and accomodating. The rooms are about what I expected. Nothing fancy but a good place to lay your head. The only legitimate "complaint" I have (if you can call it that) is that the rooms are pretty bright at night. Bring an eye mask. I'm sure I'll stay there again."

"Everything was great, especially the welcoming and accommodating staff. The pool is great and the location convenient. We stayed during a Monday and Tuesday so the restaurant wasn’t open. The food we tried was good but some was bland such as the Caesar salad and the ceviche (campechana) and the kids pasta. The chicken sandwich was really good. Good beer selection, reasonable prices. My family enjoyed our stay. I would definitely go back and recommend it."

"For a quiet room with excellent darkening of the window, this was perfect for us. We enjoyed the balcony facing the ocean. They use a darken screen instead of drapes, and it made the window completely void of light which we really like. Breakfast was extensive and great staff. "

"The room was spacious and clean. My only complaints are about the bathroom. The toilet paper was very thin. They could get better quality and people wouldn’t use as much. Also the bathroom light automatically turn on the fan. Not great when you go at night and wake up your spouse. These are small grievances and overall this is a great place to stay while on The Island."
