"We had a suite that was one of the rooms that were directly inside of the main part and it was absolutely stunning. I was a little unsure at first of staying in a cave being claustrophobic, but our room had 2 sets of windows and it was perfect The spa is exactly how it looks in the pictures. The staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful."

"Such a special hotel in one of the most gorgeous cities we’ve ever visited. Staying in a hotel built right into the cave made our whole experience in Matera feel even more incredible. Everything about it was breathtaking and unique, and it was definitely worth the stay. The spa in the basement was also such a nice bonus — especially after walking up and down all those hills! We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely come back."

"Great and cozy room for our family of 3… great and amazing views from the room, tasteful breakfast, friendly staff, makes your stay so easy that feels like home"

"I really amazing. It was a luxury cave. We booked the aromatherapy shower. Highly recommend to upgrade your room. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was not extensive, but it was perfect. Make sure to follow the parking instructions."

"Very knowledgeable staff. Rooms are like museums. Fun presentation. That was very powerful. Amazing beautiful 9000-year-old city. Must stay at this place. A little hard to figure out so watch out because the GPS does not really find it too well. Suggest calling before I get to Hotel."

"Die Lage & das Frühstück waren super. Würde es wieder buchen."

"We like the hotel, so close to attractions. Shuttle service is excellent! Breakfast is great. Room is clean and open floor plan. We would use it again when we go back!"

"Clean room comfy mattress. Great location"

"It’s a unique property - very beautiful, new, tasteful. But it smelled like sewage … The temperature cannot be regulated inside the cabe - they have to do it from reception area . It was cold.We enjoyed their small sauna. The restaurant was closed."

"Loved our stay."

"The view is astonishing"

"I can't think of anything that could be better about the Corte San Pietro — this hotel was wonderful and I can't recommend it highly enough. The staff and service were phenomenal, the room and property were amazing, breakfast was delicious, and the location is perfect for exploring the old town/Sassi. Romantic and great for couples!"

"Brilliant hotel has everything needed, unfortunately they was doing works on bottom floor but can only imagine how beautiful it will look when done. Reception staff could be a little more friendly as I did ask a question one morning about getting to a town and had eyes rolled at me. But overall clean and nice hotel definitely want to return."

"Beautiful unique hotel. Excellent service from all of the staff! Great location in the heart of Matera, but dead quiet at night which was a nice change from starting centrally in other locations in Puglia. Nice selection of food for breakfast! Highly recommend."
