Connie will respond very promptly to answer any questions or concerns. You have complete privacy & all the comforts of home. The property is pet friendly & well behaved dogs are welcome. "Fantastic place to stay (seven of us in total) while we visited family in nearby Cambridge, NY. The owner was incredibly friendly and proactively checked on us to make sure we didn’t need anything. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of dishes and equipment to make cooking meals at home easy to do. Easy to get to the stores we needed and bring groceries into the house. The back porch (entrance) was enjoyable as well when the weather permitted us to sit outside and relax. Really enjoyed...

"OMG - this place is fantastic. An oasis of peace and quiet yet close to so many things - Albany Rep for theatre, 38 mins away, Saratoga - 38 min away, Bennington museums - 38 min away. Manchester VT - 38 min away. This house is so impeccably appointed and comfortable, you want for nothing. Add in the "see to the horizon" sight lines out your bedroom window and you know you are in heaven. You know the host cares for your comfort - she has even added a bit of magic to your stay"

"The rooms are paper thin. And the cops get called there quite often for no reason."

"The room was spacious and clean. The property is conveniently located. The bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning was quiet. The hotel allows dogs, which is not always easy to find. I wished the pillows had been squishier, but that's my personal preference. I also wished they provided hand soap for the basin. Otherwise, this is a perfectly fine place to stay."

"The property was very dated... run down fixtures,, bathrooms.. sink and bathtub missing large areas of grout.. they were discolored by age and usage and very unpleasing...We received no maid service for the 3 nights we were there..no fresh linens nor any fresh towels. The parking lot and entrance ramp are dated and full of holes and uneven pavement and in need of repair....Therefore.. a poor rating is being nice..."

"It was very clean, very very cute, you don’t have direct view of the lake from the porch but there’s a super cute little pond and the lake is a ten second walk from the cabin. If you’re worried about the AC don’t be, it works incredibly well and never gave us any issues!"

"Renovation of 2nd floor and part of 1st floor underway (August 2026). Breakfast provided in small conference room. Overall it was fine."

"Was clean but very old. In need of complete re-do. Smoking allowed outside the rooms but still smelled of smoke. Parking was fair but needed up grades. Bed not great and should have had 4 pillows. Most everything was patched and/or fixed rather than replayed. Sub-par for this country."

"What a delightful little cottage! Windows on all sides let the sun and stars in and the weather out. We were welcomed by grazing cows and saw a spectacular firefly show at dusk. The perfect escape from the modern world."
