"Property was a bit rustic, but an inexpensive option for direct access to Lake Cayuga. Faucet water carried a pungent odor when we first arrived due to high mineral content, but dissipated after use. Septic system was functional. Great internet access given location. Was able to reach Ithaca in about an hour, the Syracuse State Fairgrounds in about an hour and a half. Convenient access to three wineries in a half hour’s drive and a brewpub. Quiet space in a neighborhood of friendly people."

"The vacation houses were exactly what I was looking for for a vacation with my adult sons and their partners. The guest house offered some privacy, yet the main house had enough space that we all were able to gather and play games every evening (after watching the amazing sunset!). The kitchen had everything we needed and the house AC kept the house at a nice temperature. Great vacation home!"

"Beautiful sunsets on the screen porch! Very nice space for a family."

"Great stay! We loved the quiet location and being right in the lake. We enjoyed kayaking, going for a hike at a nearby state park, visiting a nearby winery, and just enjoying relaxing time at the cottage. Would definitely recommend! We also appreciate the clear and easy communication with the owners."

"Perfect family retreat to the Finger Lakes. Halcyon Cottage had all the amenities that a family needs for a wonderful stay in the region. The lake views are stunning, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen has all the tools to make lake life everything you could want out of a vacation. The hosts are wonderful and were most helpful with all of our questions in the area. Our family loved having access to the kayaks and paddle boards to spend afternoons on the lake and the fishing was excellent...

"Rooms full of bugs. Changed our room 2 from no hot water. And woke up to roaches in my things. Had to go through every peice before I could load my truck to leave."

"Kind of dirty around the halls but the room was really nice. We had early plans and they let us check in at 8:00 A.M."

"Simple clean place"

"Great location. Room was neat and tidy with wonderful touches for comfort (fluffy bathroom mat!) and organization (well-placed storage and hooks). Friendly staff and good coffee/muffins for breakfast. Would stay again in a heartbeat."
