"Our arrival was good given top floor level 8 so fair to good views of the sea ( paid for extra when booking the ticket price) The hotel is ‘mature’ lets say. Seasoned not old.. it requires some updating but not to lose its heritage feel. Rooms smaller than expected but has most modern features you need. Perhaps a duplicate of usb or c-2-c ports beside both sides of the bed would be useful for couples having similar technology that requires charging! Food was good - we chose b&b as local food is...

"rooms were good & spacious, although bathroom was a little small. the shaving mirror was hanging off the wall which make it hard to use. the room was quite and sleeping was easy. nice pool area with padded loungers. despite the size of the hotel we allways managed to get somewhere to lounge."

"Breakfast was amazing lots to choose from. Omelette and pancake stations. Dim sum. We stayed for 6 nights and had something different everyday. Staff were very attentive. Couldn't swim in the sea as there were lots of jellyfish. But the hotel beach was beautiful, definitely worth seeing the sunsets.."

All the staff especially at the club were extremely nice, warm, helpful and very friendly thus made our stay welcoming. There is one staff in particular that stands out is Mr Samson from the club lounge. Thank you. Breakfast and cocktail food and drinks were very good clean and very well presented. "

"The hotel is generally good. Near the Chowprasta Market and Lebuh Keng Kwee street food. Within walking distance to Armenian St and Cannon St. Many food options nearby. The only downside was the room cleaning was only completed around 2 to 3pm. There were 2 days which I came back after lunch and the rooms were not made up yet."

"We did not have breakfast as we were near a lot of food places. We had to change the room as the mattress was too hard for our liking and the shower was not working well. Cleanliness was acceptable. Staffs were generally ok."

"The room was excellamt quality, spacious and very clean. Breakfast was very good with cooked options of local and European food as well as a good selection of buffet options. Friendly and helpful staff. Only downside is that it is slightly outside georgetown but this is not a criticism of hotel. Excellent pool and gym. Great hotel"

"We enjoy the large and clean room. Love the shower experience. We like the gym and pool facilities. The only grouse is no available dustbin to discard the rubbish outside the lift lobby and reception area. Overall, wonderful stay at Courtyard "

"Gorgeous hotel and beautiful room for a very good price. Prob the best hotel on our Malaysian travels. Amazing rooftop swimming pool (with crazy see through bottom) and rooftop bar with stunning views. Downside was no breakfast available at hotel but they offered a free morning bus service into town and suggested food places for breakfast. 5 stars and would definitely recommend xx"
