"We stayed at Merdaka for 7 nights and the stay was alright. The first 2 nights was given the road facing room and the windows were not sound proof. Complained about it and the staff was accommodating and changed my room. The hotel is a very old one and not very well maintained. The sheets had stains and bathrooms were old and moldy. The only positive is the staff there are very helpful and polite."

"The Culvert is an atypical hotel accommodation. The cylinder shaped cocoons are clean and fun to stay in and the staff is very friendly. This is an open air concept with everything, except you room, being outside. Premises are located on a hill which means a lot of stairs - and they are no longer in perfect condition. The two pools are quite nice, but the furniture around them are showing signs of over use while cushions and mattresses are missing or engorged with water. The dining is quite...
