"How this property ever got numerous 10 stars is beyond my comprehension; very obviously fake reviews. The shower floor was nasty. There was what appeared to be black mold under kitchen sink. Floors were uneven and sinking in spots. Roof covered with tarp. Walls were particle board and mismatched pieces of scrap wood. Overall, we had to question the integrity of the home. Owner did not sent check- in info on day of until we called an hour after check-in time. Left shortly after seeing the place....

"The description of the house on the website was spot on. Large fenced in back yard was great for our pooch close to town but still far enough away to create a quiet neighborhood on the dead end street. Close to numerous State Parks. lots of waterfalls. "What a beautiful and lovely little cabin! It's location was ideal for all the places we wanted to hike and visit - the Pisgah Forest waterfalls, Dupont National Forest, Gorges State Park and Whitewater Falls, and of corse, the charming downtown Brevard. Everything in the cabin was perfect and very clean. We loved sitting on the porch and listening to/watching the storms roll through. "The cabin was very cozy and everything that was needed was there. Our 4 legged baby enjoyed his stay as much as we did. The only thing that we missed was water water being in the pond which was no fault of anyones but Mother Nature. Jessica was always a phone call or text away. I would definitely refer this little home to friends and family and look forward to staying here again."

"Mountain Shadows is a cozy cottage nestled in the forest amongst a few other cabins but with enough privacy to let you lay back and relax. The house was well-equipped, clean and the hot tub was a welcome diversion after a long day out. This is a place I would definitely recommend to anyone."

Coming to brevard is a breath of fresh air. We wanted to go see the waterfalls but it rained most of our week. So, we will be back."

"We really enjoyed the stream and how quiet it was. There are other homes nearby, but I think they are the other cabins with the same owner. The location is great. You can be at a grocery store in 8 minutes. All of the towns are 20-40 mins in varying directions. There is a great spot to watch the sunset nearby called Jump Off Rock. Blue Ridge Parkway is only a 40 minute drive"
