"Oh my word this place is incredible. Bed was comfortable great location and the original aspects of the old building brought up to date with modern convenience. I think Jennifer and I will be getting more acquainted because I have a hard time finding a decent place to stay when I come to my hometown to visit. Carlinville is good little town close to my hometown and made attending my best friends wedding in Gillespie a breeze. We will be back."

"Amazing and elegant rooms, living spaces, and furniture, with plenty of old relics and decorations to really make you feel like you’re living in the past. All that and modern mattresses, pillows, and sheets! Very comfortable!"

"The house is beautiful. A very comfortable stay. It was very clean and well stocked with anything you might need. The host is very gracious. She was quick to respond to any request and reached out to us when we left something behind. We were able to retrieve it before leaving town. It was a lovely place to stay. Highly recommended."
