"Housekeeping is a bit of a nightmare. They promise refresh every two days. Didn't happen. Even after making a verbal request at the front desk. No housekeeping. The manager got involved and solved the problem immediately. Kirk, is actually a pretty good manager, and has a lovely front desk staff. In an outdoor mall that's full of shopping and restaurants, but be advised, the whole thing pretty much shuts down at 9. Only a few restaurants remain open, and the hotel breakfast is very weak....

"The bathroom needs better lighting. Also the a/c did not keep the room cool."

"The room was very nice. Bathroom clean. However, when laying in the bed the light coming from the window shows cobwebs and dirt for about a foot of wall by the ceiling. We requested towels at the desk. Nine were delivered. We found a maid and snagged some. The cleaning staff said they would bring us a bottle of water, but never did. I haven’t even mentioned the situation with a faulty elevator."

"Convenient to the beach"

"At first I thought the receptionist was pretty nice until I started complaining about bugs crawling on the bed and in the bathroom floor and tub, dont think it was bedbugs just bugs period made me uncomfortable, she offered and did changed my room and we saw bugs in the tub in that room after that refund was asked for and was given.."

"We stayed in an oceanfront suite with a large balcony and a large deck at the front door. We were able to observe both the sunrise and the sunset. We had an ADA accommodation which was well thoiught of and well designed. Bed was very comfortable. Hosts are very nice and friendly people."

"I stay here almost every time I’m in Surfside. This isn’t a place for someone wanting fancy accommodations but if you’re wanting a place on/near the beach at an affordable price this place is great. Definitely could use some updating and overall maintenance but the rooms are clean and never seen bugs present in the room. One minute walk to the beach and the vehicle entrance is a block away."

"This place was new, clean, and a great value. The location is good and it was a better stay than Residence Inn Pasadena. Breakfast was over at 9am. SO, my only suggestion would be for it to be open longer. I'd stay here again."

"clean and safe "

"Floors in room were so filthy our toddler’s feet were black after walking on them for just a few minutes; we ended up cleaning them ourselves due to not trusting that staff would actually clean them if we asked. (The towel picture is the floor mat we used to dry the floor after using swiffer pads we bought to surface clean.)
