"The welcome was perfect from very friendly staff and I slep well and is in a good location.The hotel looks as if its been a long time since any attention was given to the decor, our room looked very tired and the bathroom was not as clean as it could have been. The continental breakfast was meagre to say the least, cereal, toast, old fruit, and amused many other guests. Not good value for the money."

"Unwashed cup in the room and empty shampoo dispencer. Pool closed for this "spa weakend." Hotel unable to provide a cooked breakfast and reluctant to offer a rebate. Premises dirty and staff surly. Bar service poor and prolonged delays in the dining room in spite of pre-ordered food. Far from the expected standard of a 4star establishment"

"I must say… I was disappointed. I thought if I paid for a name like ‘Holiday Inn’ it would somehow be of a good standard…how wrong I was! When I saw my room (on the ground floor) the first thing I noticed was that it was not clean. The carpets looked grubby with stains and there were bits of debris on it like it hadn’t been vacuumed properly. The skirting boards & walls were quite marked and overall it was pretty disappointing. "The room was clean and presentable, the staff were lovely, Breakfast was delicious and had a range of things to choose from and the bar was .... a bar.. plenty of drinks to choose from."

"Everything was wonderful with the exception of no air-conditioning or fans. Of course it was an unusual heat wave, but it would’ve made it a lot more comfortable. A small fridge would’ve been nice as well so we could keep our drinks cool. But the pub was great. breakfast was very nice and we had a wonderful time."

"A gem of a hotel tucked well away in it's own extensive grounds. We were upgraded to one of the 5 suites which was extremely spacious and well equipped. Breakfast was great and staff very helpful. We will definitely stay again."
