Once you step into the newly renovated space with a private entrance, you’ll feel right at home. The only space shared is the outside backyard. The inviting, lower level has lots of large windows for a light and bright feeling. The windows look into the backyard for a relaxing and peaceful view. You’ll have a brand new fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, dishwasher and everything needed to prepare meals. The large quartz center island is a great gathering place and has comfortable bar stools. Included is your own washer and dryer. There is a work station with secure, high speed internet for working from home or just checking your emails. Hopefully the view won’t distract you. Kick up your feet and relax on the comfortable couch watching TV, with the cozy fireplace. The smart TV includes YouTube TV with on demand shows and local stations. There is a queen sofa sleeper with a upgraded mattress. At night, you’ll sleep great in the comfortable and large king size bed. On chilly nights, enjoy the heated mattress pad. Off the bedroom is the ¾ bath with a shower, hairdryer and basic toiletries.

What makes the Pinery Retreat stand out is the outside space. May to fall, enjoy the sounds of the relaxing waterfall pond in the spacious backyard. Relax on the patio with a cup of coffee or your favorite beverage. Watch the sun set and then end the day with city lights and stars. You will see deer wandering thru the neighborhood and the yard. Birds love to visit the waterfall pond or bath in the stream. You must love dogs, since my 3 dogs share the yard. You may even get to see them practicing for their dog competitions in agility. My youngest Border Collie would love to play fetch with you.

-A/C and heat are shared with the thermostat located in the main house, not controlled from the space. There is a fireplace heater, electric space heater and fan.
-Lower level, with a private entrance, which is accessed thru the shared backyard and 10 outside stairs. We live full time above the space, but you will have complete privacy or we're here if you need anything. The only shared space, is the outside yard.
-My 3 dogs share the yard with you. It can be arranged ahead of time, and I can try to keep them out of the yard, when you're there, but you may still come across them. They are friendly, but may bark when they first meet you.

Must like dogs, since my 3 friendly dogs share the yard. Deer do roam the property. No service animals due to shared yard with my dogs. You may hear them barking, but it would be brief.

It is a basement space of our house and we are up at 530am, but we do try to be quiet as possible. We are conscious about keeping the noise down, but like a hotel, you will hear some noise above you. I have a noise machine available, if needed.

There is a not separate temperature control, only heat/air vents. I have a separate portable heater, electric fireplace and fan. The utility room is in the space, so you will hear some noise. It stays cool from the summer heat.

$15 per person, per night charge for guest over 2. If you select the correct number of Guest, it will show this.

The entrance is accessed thru the back of the house via a short sidewalk, the deck and 10 outside stairs. It may be snowy in between shoveling. I do my best to keep it clear.
