Darling Del Mar Beach Cottage with Ocean Views

  • A charming French Normandy style cottage in an ideal location! This 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath rental is beautifully decorated and super cozy, with all the amenities you could ever want for a relaxing beach vacation.

    Soak in the sun and spectacular ocean views from the wrap-around deck, living room and kitchen. The two bedrooms (one queen bed, one Cal-King) are located on the first floor along with two full bathrooms. Upstairs, you`ll find the gorgeous living area with a pull-out couch, kitchen, dining area, work space, half-bath and a large deck. The outdoor space has a peaceful garden, outdoor dining space, grill and citrus trees for your enjoyment! Additional amenities include heat and air conditioning, WIFI and cable, stackable washer/dryer, 2 parking spots in the garage, with an additional 4 parking spots in the driveway. There is also private access to the beach via a tunnel under the train tracks; and private walkway up to L’Auburge.

    Check-in is virtual, as you`ll be provided with a digital Guest Portal and a personalized door code. Vacation Rentals by Aaron is a full-service property management company, and will be available 24-7 in case you need anything during your stay.

    Incredible location just a short walk to the sand, Del Mar Plaza, and Del Mar Racetrack & Fairgrounds. You`ll find plenty of delicious restaurants and great shopping on nearby Camino Del Mar.

    Pet Policy: We don`t allow cats in this property
    Beach Equipment: despite the inclusion of snorkeling gear, we do not offer it at our rentals

    We’ve partnered with a local private chef, Plates By Payne, who will provide an unforgettable culinary experience to you at a discount from the comfort of our rental! Ask us about this service after booking.
    Important notes/house rules:
    -Quiet Hours: 10pm-6am (weekdays); 11pm-6am (weekends).
    -Absolutely no parties or gatherings are permitted at our properties--being overly disruptive to neighbors will result in the immediate cancellation of your reservation and forfeiture of any monies paid (including your refundable deposit).
    - There is no smoking permitted at any of properties.

Wonderful fenced property with ocean views and coastal breezes. The natural light well appointed decor was beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, morning walks to Stratford Cafe. The outside swing bench that also faces the ocean with a view made it where you just didn't want or need to leave, so we enjoyed dinner and card games in the afternoon with no need to go anywhere :)

Wonderful Stay

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and absolutely loved it. We spent a lot of time sitting on the back deck enjoying the view of the ocean. It also was a quick walk to the beach and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

This beach house is just charming!

Beautiful, Cozy House In a Perfect Location!

We absolutely loved our stay! The house was beautiful and cozy, with comfortable beds that made for a great night’s sleep. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Del Mar, with a tunnel just steps away that leads directly to the beach and some of the area's top waterfront restaurants.One thing we weren’t expecting was the train noise, but we quickly got used to it and it didn’t take away from our overall experience. Being able to walk everywhere and leave the car parked was a huge bonus. Overall, a wonderful stay in a prime spot!

Relaxing stay by the beach

Beautiful property and such a quick walk to the beach. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony over looking the water each morning. Located in between many fun activities just a short car ride away. We will be coming back again!

Perfect stay

Our family of 4 adults loved our stay at your home. It was the perfect location for us as we attended a family wedding next door at the L'auberge Hotel. We enjoyed sunset cocktails on the balcony each night and cooking meals here. Easy to get to attractions in the city and beaches. We walked to shops and restaurants in Del Mar town. A fabulous place and would definitely stay again

Great home and the location is simply stunning

This home is charming and well maintained with luscious gardens around, both natural and manufactured. The walk to the beach is simple if you find the secret steps to the tube. So much fun and a wonderful place. We will definitely be going back.

Stayed with my wife and 3 kids. Property is one of best properties we have stayed at. Close to train, but fairly quiet and kids thought it was great. Huge yard, comfortable beds, awesome balcony. I would highly recommend.

We stayed in this house about 10-12 years ago. It was nice but a little dated. It has since been refurbished and has been updated with all amenities fairly new. The proximity to the beach was great. Would highly recommend it.

Beach luxury

This is such a great property with everything you need for a beach centric stay. We enjoyed the stay tremendously. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen stocked with all plates and utensils you’d ever need and beach toys are available as well. I highly recommend. I would definitely stay again. Small caveat - this is not the place for you if you don’t like trains. They don’t bother me at all. They do go by frequently but are super short and are past the house in seconds.

Exactly as advertised

This cute little beach house is exactly as advertised. It has a great location. You can walk to beach and shopping in Del Mar. It is very close to the train tracks, so I was initially worried, but the train is very quiet and did not wake us up. We had a large pickup truck, so it couldn’t fit in the garage, but there was plenty of room behind the house to park it off the street. The owner was easy reach and responded very quickly during our communication. I would stay here again.
