"We showed up at 10pm and no one was there. Everything was locked up and lights off. We kept ringing the bell, nocking on the door and calling the phone number but no one answered!! After waiting over and hour in the the front door with zero answer we had no choice but to leave and it was not easy finding another hotel at 11pm. "

"I was visiting Forres for a work event and needed a hotel nearby. The Carlton was lovely. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming; check in was a breeze. The room was super clean and had all the amenities you needed. The bed was excellent and very comfy. Would thoroughly recommend this excellent hotel which is great value for money."

"We were initially very tensed as we are going to Europe for first time. Communicated with the owners (Karen & George), they were very friendly and eased our anxiety. Karen met us after we checked-in and she was very friendly and helpful. My wife and daughter liked the glamping area very much, its safe. I highly recommend if you are planning for a trip to Loch Ness and need a small private atmosphere."

"The lodge is beautiful in very peaceful area, it was very clean with everything we needed. We used it mainly for a base as we were traveling so only really slept there. The lodge is situated between 2 other properties and would benefit ( I’m my opinion) with blinds on all lower windows. The bed is very comfortable but a bit on the narrow side. "Very highly recommended. The hotel has had a spruce up since I was last here and she's looking lovely. Very comfy beds and powerful shower with nice products. Great spa. Food and cocktails both delicious. Everyone super friendly and helpful. With local people coming in to use the pool or have a drink at the bar, it feels like part of the town as well rather than just a tourist enclave. We will be back. "

"No se puede considerar un hotel de 3 estrellas. Ni siquiera hotel. Hay hosteles y albergues en mejor calidad y estado con menor rango de hoteleria. La cama de matrimonio, son 2 colchones pegados, uno con muelles que molestan. La ducha sin presion de agua caliente. Dentro de un rollo de papel, encontramos un vaper, de algun otro usuario o servicio de limpieza. Avisamos de estas situaciones y lo unico que dijeron fue "gracias y lo siento". Lamentable."
