"Room was clean and well presented bed was very comfortable, at the time of our stay the restaurant was not available which was not a problem. "

Thete was plenty of space for more drawers for clothes, a table/ rack for a suitcase , and a small table between the chairs would have been useful. The pool and spa area was excellent. The gardens are lovely. The restaurant was heavily influenced by spice - too much for older taste buds, but the chef was accommodating! "

Good choice of hot and cold breakfast options regularly topped up so everything is nice and fresh. 5 minute walk to tourist attractions, bars and restaurants however still in a quiet. Only tiny thing for me is that I like bread rolls and cheese slices with my breakfast and they only had sliced bread (brown and white) but that was a tiny point :)"

"Looking for a convenient location to stay while over watching the bikes at Oulton Park. Brilliant location and brilliant stay. Rooms were clean and spacious with a comfy bed. Staff were brilliant, both behind and front of bar. Ate there 2 nights, fantastic both times. Another cracking pub within walking distance. Continental breakfast spot on. Would I stay again, without a doubt. "

"The room was spacious, large beds, ensuites and a lovely big living space. The lighting was a bit dim, more lamps would be good. Small things didnt work well, ie, no bedside lights, front door wouldnt lock (except for the yale), a bulb was out, we scouldnt get the phone to reception to work and wifi didnt work either. Some of the blinds need fixing too. However, lovely linen, comfy beds, great location and quiet. "

"Staff are great but slow check in. Really hot in Chester right now and the hotel has no actual AC in the building but thankfully the room AC was good if overly complicated. Room size is good, bathroom adequate. One tiny lift for the whole hotel with most people lugging heavy cases up the stairs in frustration at the lift situation. The whole place is a bit worn and it’s at the opposite end of town where you want to be. Parking is nearby but not sign posted at all . I parked in some weird QR code...
