The house is beautifully restored and the room was superb good views over the countryside,, Jen was a superb host and made us feel welcome in her home. Excellent breakfast and the canal path only 5 minutes walk through the garden. Good location for visiting all of the Peak District. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return "

"We stayed here for 1 night whilst touring the peak district on our motorbikes. Plenty of parking and security cameras to ensure a good night's sleep. Our room was very comfortable and decorated to a high standard. The shower was big with great water pressure. "We had a wonderful stay at The View. The room was lovely, very spacious and overlooked the rolling hills, plus it was quiet. The staff were very friendly and attentive and breakfast was delicious and all cooked and prepared to order. We had one evening meal at the pub itself which again, we couldn’t fault. There is so much to do around the area and we will definitely be going back. A true gem of a find!"

"Fantastic old property that has been sympathetically restored / converted with fantastic rooms. Brilliant breakfast and typical Peak District hospitality….. Easy walk into the village too, where there’s shops and a couple of very good pubs too. We stayed three nights and could easily have stayed longer…. Hell Yeah!"

"This was our second trip to the lion at Belpur, and though we couldn’t have the bigger room this time, the room we had was still adequate for what we wanted. Always good friendly staff, who are more than willing to help. The pub is located in a good area, close to shops and high street, and the mills and gardens. Fantastic time which is why we returned. "Absolutely lovely stay at New Bath Hotel. The staff were lovely very helpful. A bonus is the use of the lido. Very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay again."

"The staff at The Bear Inn are terrific: it’s a family-run business and nothing was too much trouble. You soon will get to know everyone’s name a they will remember yours; it’s the little things that set a small country Inn apart from the bigger and soulless enterprises.
