Plenty of tea and coffee supplies (decent quality not cheap), a great supply of Borders biscuits, and cleaning equipment including tablets for the dishwasher. Only problem was one of the bathrooms didn’t have a lock on the door. Our booking stated check out is 11:00 however the checkout for lodges is 10:00 with no opportunity to request a late checkout. "Well located property and a spotlessly clean room. All the staff were very helpful and even managed to get us an earlier check in when we arrived. "My room was great. Comfortable bed, excellent bathroom, and the coffee sachets in the room were the best I've ever tasted. The location is so central to all I wanted to visit. All this in a 600 year old place is something special. Highly recommend."

"A nice twin room overlooking the rear of the hotel and kitchen extraction which meant we had to close the windows when breakfast started. It's a noisy, creaky hotel so no lie in. Room was clean but other areas of hotel felt not so. There was a random mop and bucket of dirty water on the stairs the whole time we were there. Staff very friendly and helpful. Parking easy (on a sunday) with £7 permit from hotel. Breakfast was lovely, a decent choice and English breakfast items were great. Great...
