"Always quiet and courteous staff. I really appreciate the coffee being ready in the lobby by 6:30 AM without fail. I have stayed here three times and I will continue to frequent this location on my trip to Edmonton. The breakfast is above average and the selection for items is more than acceptable. Could use some fresher options. Fitness centre could use a few more items more dumbbells, maybe a couple of mats All in all a really good stay "

"Excellent for the low price. Breakfast was great. The fitness center was closed for construction. The hotel is located on the floors above a shopping plaza in an industrial area, and at first this made me a little uncomfortable. However, there is 24 hour security on duty. The room was plain but spacious and clean and very quiet. Bathroom was very nice, television was huge, internet was fast and beds were comfortable. I would stay again."

If you simply require a place to sleep in the Whyte Ave. neighbourhood, the Commercial is a good option. The historic pub downstairs is a bonus. Lots of dining spots within a couple of blocks, plus the nearby Farmers Market, bookshops, and many great local businesses. "

"This motel is in a VERY dangerous area of Edmonton!! We ended up leaving and booking else-where. DO NOT stay here of you have children.. I wouldn't have even stayed if my kids weren't with me. The parking lot and building was surrounded by obviously high/intoxicated groups of ppl. My 13 year old daughter was harassed walking from our car and there is no security- anyone can just walk in! There was also blood in the bathroom on the wall.. as soon as we saw the room we left, I expressed we did not...
