"Wonderful despite the rainy weekend. The tiny house was cosy with a toasty fire, or diesel heater when we wanted instant heat. The shower was hot, the bed comfy. Our hosts made sure we could get across the paddock to the tiny house when it was looking too damp for our car to make the journey in the wet. At night the stars were clearly visible from our own private river valley, complete with our own outside fire place beside the river. We took advantage of a tasty breakfast from the main house...

"We loved our stay at Lakeside Retreat - perfect location, clean, very comfortable and spacious, very well equipped kitchen and we felt quite "at home" in the house. Fiona and Richard are great hosts and easy to communicate with, check-in/out is very easy & there is no need to fuss with keys etc! "Great property.. enough space for 3 couples and 4 children. Pool was excellent, two fridges was handy for us, house was well equipped with everything we needed. Loved the view of the river from the house and enjoyed a few drinks and food on the table and chairs under the shady trees.. beautiful countryside. Close to Melbourne but feels like you’re far away! (In a good way!) The owners were responsive and able to help with anything we needed. Highly recommend. Thanks for the stay. "
