"This hotel is thoughtfully situated in the Montrose District, near many great eateries and museums. I personally loved the design of the property and interior design of the rooms, overall it was very artful and bespoke. The room was clean and the restaurant was inviting. "We love staying at this Zaza for Houston museums, zoo, and Hermann park visits. Price is elevated, but the quality of stay is top notch. Very spacious room at standard rate. Turndown service with a Moon Pie or chocolate, and a bottle of water. Over the span of a couple of days, we had an excellent breakfast and excellent dinner at Monarch. This weekend coincided with a prom being held in the big ballroom. The staff runs things so well that, as a guest, this was not a disruption at all to us."

"This is the perfect spot for hosting a Bachelorette... if you don't plan on making a lot of noise. They have noise monitors on the property and threaten to fine you if you get too loud. The property was set up very well and it was very clean and had everything we needed. Unfortunately, there were ants in two of the restrooms. My husband had a surgery at MDAnderaon nearby, so the location was great for me to go back and forth to the hospital and the hotel shuttle service was very convenient to get me to the hospital and back to the hotel. Front staff helped me with some changes to my reservation. Definitely will stay here for any medical needs in the future. "
