We ended up having clothes stuck in there for a long time overnight and in the morning when we rsna the dryer a few times. Checkout is at 1000am so at 1024 they knocked saying we need to leave. That's on us but I don't think I've ever gotten a knock before. He gave us til 1107am since wet clothes were still and in the dryer for multiple hours. They still didn't dry so we had to...

"Overall, this was a great stay. Next time however, I would not stay on the Royal Mile. We learned that this is an extremely busy and very loud street in the heart of the tourist District. Not only is it right across the street from a very large church with loud bells that continue to ring into the night… The bars open up with many people still strolling down the streets at one or two in the morning. The location is wonderful, walking distance to everything and all main attractions.
