"It was very clean and the facilities were as described. We had a twin room. It was downstairs next to the front door but it was very quiet in the property. We weren’t disturbed. Good tea and coffee making facilities. Fridge and bottled water provided. Host was on hand when we checked in and explained everything we needed to know. Just stayed on night. Met our needs comfortably. Uber from Betty’s York area around £5 each way. It is walkable too. "

"Everything was really worth value for your money. However we experienced rudeness during our stay when one of the renters on the other room was knocking our wall and telling us to keep quiet when were not making any noise but because my husband snored which I cant avoid they kept on knocking our wall. He doesn't really snore, but just that particular night he snored because we were literally tired and exhausted from the travel. But can you avoid that? Can they literally shut us up when someone...

"This is a wonderful old building with quaint decor, a lovely staff, and very tasty breakfast. It's perfectly located being both easy to get to from the train station and a short stroll from the sites of York. There is a bit of noise from the bars, but luckily they provide ear plugs of you need them."
