"You arrive at what is obviously a very clean and tidy property to the welcome of the very friendly and helpful staff. The room vas very spacious, clean with a good selection of tv channels. The evening meal menu has a good number of varied choices and my meal was faultless. The breakfast was not extraordinary but perfectly adequate and for the cost of the room very good value throughout. I would not hesitate to recommend staying here and I do not normally do so. "The historic building is simply beautiful, very charming, and well-restored. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was well-equipped. The service in the restaurant was very friendly but extremely slow. The food was rather mediocre. Breakfast was actually quite poor. There was barely a tablespoon of yogurt with the granola, and the toast was cold and hard like rusk. The location itself is beautiful."

If you want an authentic 'staying at an inn' experience with good food, a wide selection of ales and ciders and friendly courteous staff then you won't find better.
