"Stayed here for two nights while visiting Bath. Loved the room (named "Jake") with its compact space and the layout between the room and the bathroom. You just can't get places that have character like this in the States. Ate dinner both nights in the restaurant which was very good. On both nights (weeknights) the restaurant was full. The venison pie was outstanding. Opting for something more healthy my wife and I chose the porridge with local honey the first morning and repeated the same...

"Lovely stay, very friendly helpful staff couldn’t do enough for us. Twin room no 4 small but very comfy, very nicely decorated, nice views to the left. Lovely bathroom with nice hot shower. We had an evening meal and breakfast there the food was lovely, service excellent. Plenty of parking, nothing much near by but that suited us. Would highly recommend and hope to return sometime. If you want to eat there at night make sure you book a table in advance, we weren’t made aware of this before hand...

"The only downsides for us is that the shower wasn't very good (low power) and the television is mounted too high on the wall, so if we were to watch it for any period it gave us neck ache."

"Probably the best place we've stayed in. The room was spacious, clean and modern. We loved the little touches. There was complimentary tea & coffee on arrival , their own brand products in the bathrooms , hair dryer and straighteners plumbed in and the TV even has a personal welcome message. The food was great, served quickly and reasonably priced. If we stay in the area again, this will definitely be our first choice. "

"A beautiful hotel with wonderful staff. Room exceeded expectations and we went for a balcony as the view over the Avon Gorge looking at The Suspension Bridge is stunning. A pretty faultless experience all round and highly recommended!"

"Excellent boutique hotel. Superb service all round. We were greeted outside by Wayne to help with valet parking and every encounter with a member of staff from there was very positive. The highlight was dining at Olive Tree. Absolutely outstanding food and such a nice touch to have the chefs come out and explain the creativity and work that goes into every dish. We will be back for sure "

"It was my wife's 60th and not only did they give us a front bedroom as requested, but they upgraded us with a complimentary bottle of fizz. the reception was lovely and helpful. Thanks to all."

"Very pleasant people. Attentive. Room clean. Nice touch, bottled water. Clipper tea. Clean bathroom. Nice towels on heated towel rail. Plenty of parking. Continental breafast, all fresh ingredients, melon, grapes, orange, yoghurt, croissant well presented on a plate. Busy little pub, lots going on. Beer garden. "
