"The location was excellent. I needed somewhere to break my journey walking along the towpath of the Trent-Mersey canal, and this motel is only a mile north of the canal, at the midway point between the Anderton Boat Lift and the end of the canal at Preston Brook. I don't think I would have been able to complete the walk without its being where it is. Facilities were good (like an Extended Stay property, with a kitchen; bed was comfortable; convenience shop nearby was a bonus. "

"Generally great stay. Dog friendly and didnt get charged for the dog. The bed was a bit small but comfy. We had everything we needed in our room, and staff were helpful and polite. The breakfast and food in the restaurant was nice, and bonus points for "children eat for free". "

"For a three bedroom (sleeps six) cottage this is great value. It's generally in satisfactory condition. OK, the garden and cottage could do with sprucing up a bit but it's a good place to stay. There is plenty of car parking space around the back, and a large village (Kelsall) two miles away"

"This was a perfect little hotel we'd found by chance. We were at a concert so we only needed a nice bed, but this hotel was so much more. The superior suite was beautifully presented. "Our stay was very comfortable and it was a great location for our stopover between Scotland and Devon. The host was very efficient, friendly and accommodating to our needs. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The only downside was the en suite bathroom which had a sensor light. This made any night time toilet trips impossible to make without waking someone up with the light and extractor fan. The shower pressure was very weak & the sink was tiny.
