"Hotel is a little tired and could use some renovation…room smelled damp and old. On the plus side it is quiet, breakfast is good and close to airport"

"Very convenient location and the room was very clean."

"All in all the resort was clean and tidy. The staff was great. The pool and hot tub were excellent. However, we were confused about why the steam sauna and cold plunge are only available if you book them for a charge with the spa... The 1st evening we went down for a dip it was all open. "Breakfast was delicious! Very quiet and beautiful property and it was a beautiful week in Victoria. We enjoyed having our coffee outside listening to all the birds. The hot tub in the evening was very relaxing Can't wait until we can visit again."

"O at the front desk was wonderful and welcoming. The room was beautiful. Fabulous view, very well appointed, and comfortable beds. Location was close to everything."

"I had a wonderful stay at the Amethyst Inn for the Victoria Marathon weekend. Staying in a historic Victorian mansion added such a unique and relaxing charm to the trip. "This hotel delivers so much more than its humble three star status would indicate. Absolutely packed with honest character and with details I appreciate, like windows that actually open, and an ‘old school’ telephone in the room. The check in and check out were seamless, the staff members were sharp, friendly, and pretty funny! Oh, the location: perfect for a traveller who wishes to go car-free. Very convenient to have a good restaurant in house, too."

"excellent! highly recommend"
