"This is our go to spot for our annual Bar Harbor trip for about 8 years now. It’s a toss up between the main building (more expensive but lovely rooms and very nice breakfast) and the motel (more Spartan and no breakfast but less expensive and still comfortable) every year, but we are happy with either - just depends on availability and my wallet. Easy walk to a coffee and breakfast spot (Choco-latte but get there super early or place an order ahead as the line gets long) and the village...

"The location was great to walk to almost everything. Was able to take a trolley to the park for a tour which we would highly recommend. The room was very clean. Shower was great lots of pressure. The gifts that were left in the place was very thoughtful. Would definitely recommend for anyone we know coming to Maine - bar harbor. "

"Great location, right next to town square and Island Explorer buses town hub. Easy to walk everywhere in town. Staff is friendly but sometimes seemed unprofessional, perhaps a training issue? Breakfast is a light buffet spread- omelets available if you want. We appreciated they always had a tall dispenser of ice water (and iced coffee) in the lobby. We had a King Room - small with a tiny bathroom, and a "French balcony" which we opened sometimes to get fresh air in the room. The shower stall so...

"Room was clean w plenty of space. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good. Parking is good. Best part is that you can park at the beginning of your stay and walk anywhere you want to go in town."

"Elsa's is a wonderful place to stay if you are traveling to Prospect Harbor. It is a quaint building with beautiful rooms. But what made our stay spectacular was Gail. She is absolutely amazing. She gave us lots of great ideas about sites to see during our visit. She makes delicious breakfasts. And she's just so much fun to talk to. We wanted to bring her home with us! We will definitely come back for another stay as soon as possible."

"Room was clean, fridge and microwave, bed comfortable, quiet motel- it’s set back from the road and sheltered by trees. Picnic tables and sitting areas scattered in the shade of the trees. The pool was lovely. Some of the areas around the motel could use a sprucing up, but for the price- we thought it was great."

"This is a beautiful well kwpt home! It was very clean, and well equipped with everything we needed! Easy to communicate! The view of the water and Down East coastline was especially spectacular from the upstairs bedroom. The property is private and safe! We loved our stay!!! Highly recommend this property!!!!
