"I selected this site due to the wonderful views and the proximity to New Bern. When I walked into the first room, it smelled so badly of mildew and old. The floors were not vacuumed, the bed linens were damp. Carpets old and stained. I asked for a different room due to the overwhelming smell of mildew. They placed me in a room across the hall, I now had little view from my window and the same mildew smell. The second room was a bit cleaner. I had breakfast the first morning, edible but not...

The toilet bowl and seat in the bathroom needs to be replaced as it looks like it was either glazed or painted and it came off. The self parking and WiFi was included. "Everything was great with two exceptions ice machines should be on every floor, my wife had her shoulder replaced and getting ice on the first floor from the fifth floor was a chore. "This was our second stay at this hotel and it was wonderful. It is not easy traveling with an 80lb. dog and they make you feel so welcome. The staff is super friendly, they provide a welcome bag for you and for your fur baby. The rooms are always clean, we can leave our dog in the room unattended {HUGE plus}, and the grounds are great for dog walking. The breakfast is always good too. "My husband and I stayed here for the weekend with our two children. It was quiet, and pretty clean. You could tell they are still in the process of making improvements to the place. But for the price we paid, it was better than expected. We also really only needed a place to shower and sleep the rest of the time we were on the beach or at the park across the street.
