The Space:

Exceptional, two-story, oceanfront home in the Capitola Village overlooking the Capitola Wharf! This property is a rare Capitola Gem! This iconic home has been lovingly maintained and has expansive ocean views throughout. Walk out the back door to direct beach access (literally steps from the home!), the Capitola Wharf, the ocean-front activities and restaurants on the esplanade, and so much more! Be a part of this vibrant, beach community as you enjoy the Capitola Oceanside!



This home sleeps up to 10 guests comfortably, with a total of 5 bedrooms. 3 bedrooms can be found on the main level. Please note occupancy is maxed at 6 adults, and 4 children - NO EXEMPTIONS.



- Master bedroom suite: king-sized bed with ensuite bathroom

- Second master bedroom suite: king-sized bed with ensuite bathroom

- Third bedroom:  two twin-sized beds with a desk



On the lower level is the back door (with direct beach access), as well as 2 bedrooms;

- Private Suite: Queen bed with ensuite bathroom, private oceanfront terrace, and small kitchenette with refrigerator & sink

- Kids Room: Two Twin Beds (trundle style)



Please note that there is a maximum of two parking off-street parking spots that come with your reservation, including access to the single-car garage.  Under no circumstances, can you park in front of our neighbor's properties - no exceptions.

Please note that the Capitola Wharf rebuilding project has begun as of 9-2023 and the work is expected to continue through 8-2024.  This will partially impact your view of the Monterey Bay and Capitola Village, from this unit - and construction noise may be heard.  General work hours are from Monday - Friday from 7:00am to 5:00pm.

Beautiful large house right on the beach with fabulous views of the ocean and looking out to the pier. We had 3 families ranging in age from 9 to 79, a total of 7 people. We chose this house because it was large enough to provide appropriate beds for all the members of our party. It also allowed us to entertain additional family members who were also visiting in the area. The house is in excellent condition. It had everything we needed or wanted for our beach stay. The kitchen is fully stocked. There was not a single thing we lacked during our stay including beach chairs and toys for the youngsters. I would not hesitate to return to this house for my next stay at Capitola.

Relaxation begins upon entering and exudes from this property throughout the stay. Meticulously clean, perfect location, all the creature comforts one could need. . . This place is nothing short of fabulous! Highest recommendation!

Perfect Family Getaway

This was nearly a stay-cation as all the family is within 1 hour of this house. But the beach, ocean, charming seaside Capitola and comfortable house made it feel like worlds away from the redwoods, SF and LG! Couldn’t ask for a better place to gather. Although the wharf was out of service, we enjoyed watching its reconstruction. The house itself really had everything we needed, including beach chairs and sand toys. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and dishes. The beds were comfortable (although more pillows would have been ideal). The way the living area is configured let us have separate areas for adults and kids’ to play, so they could leave their Lego construction up for days! Loved the panoramic views through unobstructed plate glass, and the outdoor patio was well-used. Truly a gem!

A wonderful place to stay with the whole family to celebrate Grampa's 80th birthday. Direct access to the beach. Large living space for the whole family. And spacious kitchen. Plus private master area for the grandparents.

Started out rough but finished smooth and wonderful!

We came inside this lovely home with easy beach access and panoramic vistas. However the house had not been cleaned. The owner, Liz, took full responsibility and put us up for a night at a house closely located to the rental, comped us breakfast and added an extra half a day to our stay. She also credited my account for a half day rental. I felt this to be fair as three families were inconvenienced. After all was straightened out we had a beautiful home, enjoyed meals at the dinner table with views of the ocean and fun filled three days at the beach right below us. This Capitola home has access to easy walking to town and beach. Just the place for a three families to share a summer reunion.

Lovely Getaway

Amazing Beachfront House

Stayed here with my adult kids and grandkids. The house is beautiful, the views stunning and the location was perfect for us. Enjoyed the patio overlooking the beach and easy walk to restaurants, shops and the beach of course! Loved it!!

Great beach location

We had an excellent time reuniting with grandparents at this beach house. The house was nicely decorated, clean, and full of comfortable furniture. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for preparing a family meal. The beach experience was also lovely. We would stay again.

Great location

We rented this beautiful home in September 2020 to be with our children and grandchildren (under 8 years of age). There was a total of 11 of us and each of my daughter's family had their own space. The downstairs has a door that leads to the beach. Really, you just was out the door and there is a pathway to the beach!! The spacious deck looks down to the beach. Therefore, if half of your family is on the beach and you are on the deck, you can still see what they are doing!! The kitchen was small but who cares, the rest of the house was great!! We hope to come back again!!!

A very special property

We rented this house for Thanksgiving with our two kids and grandparents and it was so relaxing. The view was incredible, dramatic and romantic. The kitchen was a close second to the view as it had every tool I needed and was thoughtfully appointed.

Items were broken or missing, ie toilet paper dispenser and missing blinds from the windows. We had to hang beach towels with clothes pins over several windows. Dead flies in the blinds. Would not have been so concerning if rental agreement hadn’t suggested fines and/or penalties over almost aspect of visit. Felt I had to take pictures of every minor deficit to protect myself. Kitchen was well stocked. Only thing we missed was a pitcher to make iced tea. Found a very small one downstairs but could have used a regular pitcher. Lovely home and location

Amazing location, but take note...

This home is literally steps to an amazing beach, restaurants and great shopping, and overlooks breathtaking views from the living room, kitchen and deck. The bay window is amazing and the living room is large yet cozy - comfortably furnished with a fire place and plenty of seating with a view. The kitchen is well stocked and the long dining table lent itself to many family meals during our stay. We celebrated a birthday there and it was a great gathering spot! My main caution is the listing says comfortably sleeps 12, and that there are 5 bedrooms plus a loft. There are 3 bedrooms on the main floor that worked well to accommodate 2 couples and two kids. Downstairs was about 15 degrees colder than upstairs (stayed in winter) and a bit musty. You have to walk through a tiny sitting room with a trundle bed in order to get to the bedroom. So downstairs should be considered one bedroom not two (sitting room maybe could work for a small child). As far as the loft, it's not private and it's very tiny with such a low ceiling that only children may like it. But since it's a ladder to get up and down, I didn't think it would be safe, especially if they needed to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. So I would say 3 couples plus 2 could fit comfortably - 8 people (9 max) and 4 bedrooms seems more like it. For the price I would have appreciated more accuracy here. If that configuration works for your party, I'd recommend. We were thrilled with the location and with the main floor of the home including the deck. We had an amazing trip to remember!
