Nestled in the serene and tranquil wooded area of the village of Prazeres, and yet only a few hundred metres from the church and facilities, this very spacious 2-bedroom apartment is set in the first floor of a traditional Madeira-style house, and boasts a large front terrace with great views over the surrounding countryside. The spacious terrace is a highlight, offering a perfect spot to unwind with sun beds for enjoying the balmy weather of Prazeres. It´s equipped with comfortable outdoor furniture, ideal for enjoying your morning coffee or an evening glass of wine and for dining alfresco, prepared on the portable barbecue. Access is via a set of outdoor steps, and upon entering the apartment, you are welcomed into a very spacious open-plan living area, thoughtfully designed to combine comfort and functionality. For those requiring to work from home, a working area with a large desk and two chairs and plenty of shelving, perfect for remote work or planning your visits. A large, enveloping comfortable sofa invites you to relax, while the air conditioning ensures a pleasant atmosphere year-round. Adjacent to the living space is a dining area, ideal for enjoying meals prepared in the fully equipped console kitchen. Off the living area are the master bedroom with a double bed and the second bedroom with two single beds are complemented by a family bathroom.

The nearest mini market is 1.1 km away. There are some additional country mini-markets bars and snack-bars in the surrounding countryside areas, easily accessible by car. Prazeres offers the perfect mix of weather and countryside; many walks are available in the surrounding countryside and there is direct road access to the Paul da Serra plateau. The resort of Calheta with its man-made beach, branded supermarket and more cafés and restaurants, is 8Km away, easily accessed via the expressway in 10 minutes driving time. Funchal is an easy 50-minute drive via expressway and motorway, and the airport a further 10 minute drive.
Cleaning The property is prepared for your arrival. For stays of longer than 7 nights, a change of linen and towels, and light mid-stay cleaning of bathrooms is provided on a day and time to be advised at check-in. All linen and towels are provided. For health reasons, linen for a baby cot is not provided and you should bring your own. Guests need to vacate the villa during a mid-stay clean and change of linen.
Booking Notes The advertised prices are based on a 2-person occupancy. Supplements apply when additional people occupy the apartment. Maximum occupancy is 4 people. To secure your reservation we require a non-refundable deposit or the full amount if the reservation is made within 8 weeks prior to arrival. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival. A security deposit of 150€, payable in cash upon arrival. The minimum stay is 03 nights. Final details for check-in and driving instructions will be sent 7 days before your arrival. The entrance code will be sent 3 days before your arrival. Check-in is at 16H00 or later. Check-out is at 10H00.
A tourist tax is payable by all visitors to Madeira aged 13 or over, and costs 2€ per person per day up to a maximum of 14€ per person. Your accommodation is responsible for collecting these amounts and paying them on your behalf to the applicable municipality.

If you have a car and are driving to your villa or apartment, please follow these instructions. Using GPS will take you via old and less easy roads and unsual locations:
Leaving the airport take the motorway (Via Rápida) West in the direction of Funchal and after this to Ribeira Brava. Travel for 34. Km.
When you reach the end of the motorway (approximately 35 minutes) keep on the right hand lane and follow the signs to Ribeira Brava – Ponta do Sol. The slip road will lead you to a roundabout. Take the first exit to Ribeira Brava and drive towards the sea for 1,4Km. You will reach another roundabout. Take the 1st exit into the tunnel and you will now carry on for 3,9Km until you reach the roundabout of Ponta do Sol.
At the end of the tunnel you will reach another roundabout; take the 2nd exit , signposted Ponta do Sol and drive through another tunnel. At the end, carry on along the coastal road and you will enter another tunnel. At the end, carry on along the coastal road and you will enter another tunnel.
At the end of this tunnel you will come to the roundabout of Ponta do Sol; on the left you will find a petrol station and mini market. Take the 2nd exit into the next tunnel and drive for 2,8Km. At the end of the tunnel, at the roundabout, turn sharp right into the next tunnel (signposted Calheta). At the roundabout (1,6Km), take the first turn-off, signposted to Calheta, drive through the next tunnel for 1,8Km.
Reaching the next roundabout, take the second exit following signs to Calheta and through another tunnel until you reach the Calheta roundabout (2,5Km). Go straight across (2nd exit) , signposted Prazeres (don’t turn left into Calheta) and enter a further tunnel, driving for 2,3Km.
When reaching the next roundabout, where you will find a BP Petrol Station, take the third turnoff indicated “Prazeres”, “Lombo da Rocha”, “Hotel”
On the roundabout take the 2nd exit signposted Porto Moniz/Ponta do Pargo/Prazeres and keep driving for aprox. 800metres until you find a T-Junction and turn right here. Drive another 200m until you find another T-Junction and turn right again on to Estrada dos Prazeres. After 200metres on Estrada dos Prazeres, turn right onto Caminho Lombo da Rocha and turn right onto Caminho Lombo dos Barros on the number 17.
