  • El "Nook" es una casa de campo recientemente renovada que cuenta con características tradicionales con una decoración de estilo contemporáneo, creando un ambiente hogareño y se encuentra en el corazón de Tideswell.

    Esta acogedora cabaña de piedra con terraza en la mitad de la terraza es ideal para familias (y su perro) que tiene capacidad para 6 personas en 3 plantas, con 2 habitaciones dobles (1 king size) y una habitación litera con capacidad para 2, todas con servicio de un nuevo baño con bañera con ducha, lavabo e inodoro. Todas las habitaciones tienen televisores, incluida la sala de literas que está preparada para HD, por lo que puede traer su Play Station / XBox o usar el reproductor de DVD incorporado (hay más de 80 DVD para elegir).

    En la planta baja hay una cocina totalmente equipada con microondas, nevera / congelador, lavavajillas, horno eléctrico y vitrocerámica, lavadora y mesa de comedor y sillas para el asiento 6.

    El salón es muy acogedor con su quemador de registro, 2 sofás, televisión digital inteligente, reproductor de DVD, conexión Wi-Fi BT ilimitada, música de Amazon gratis a través de "Alexa" y una selección de libros, DVD y juegos de mesa que lo hacen ideal para relajarse. Después de un día en el Peak District.

    Afuera, en la parte trasera, hay un patio compartido con almacenamiento con cerradura para bicicletas o cochecitos, etc.

    La casa tiene calefacción central de gas en todo, operado por un termostato Hive. Se proporcionarán toallas y ropa de cama dentro del alquiler. El estacionamiento en el camino inmediatamente afuera de la cabaña está disponible, lo cual es ilimitado y gratuito. Lo sentimos, pero no se permite fumar en la cabaña y solo se permite un perro que se porte bien.

    La cabaña está a solo un par de minutos a pie de los servicios locales, incluidos restaurantes, cuatro pubs del país, 2 tiendas de pescado y papas fritas, cooperativa, oficina de correos, panadería, carnicería y numerosos salones de té. ¡Visite los pubs y restaurantes en línea, ya que tienen muy buenas calificaciones y están a solo una corta distancia a pie!

    Ubicada en el corazón del Parque Nacional Peak District, esta cabaña está idealmente ubicada para disfrutar de caminatas y ciclismo, con su posición central y muy cerca de la ciudad balneario de Buxton, la ciudad comercial de Bakewell, las famosas cuevas de Castleton y Chatsworth House y se puede llegar a Haddon Hall en menos de media hora, este es el lugar perfecto para explorar esta área.

Caroline the host was very helpful. The cottage is superb with everything one could possibly need. Warm, cosy and beautifully appointed.Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful area!

We loved this little town! Absolutely beautiful and lots of options for eating. The Nook was perfect for our family of 4. Lots of space and very comfortable.

We had a lovely stay at The Nook over Christmas. It's wonderfully cosy and had everything we needed. The bedrooms especially were very comfortable and more spacious than we were expecting! The house was full of Christmas decorations which was a lovely touch. We also had a great meal at The Star on Caroline's recommendation - the pies were fantastic!

Gorgeous cottage in a great location

I was really impressed with this cottage, it was more spacious than expected and it had everything I needed. I came to Tideswell for a writing retreat and it was so lovely and peaceful with beautiful walks and great pubs. I highly recommend the Nook and would definitely go back.

Lovely cottage

We had a wonderful time, myself 3 teens and our dog. Didnt realise the courtyard wasnt enclosed but just meant we had to keep hold of the dog . Great base to explore the area. Lovely fish & chips from opposite the church. A lovely stay.c

Such a lovely Cottage!!!

The Nook is a wonderful home for holidays. It is well situated in the beautiful Peak District. Tideswell is a nice town with a co-op, a very good bakery and possibilities for having meals in the evening. The cottage is well equipped, the communication with Caroline was very friendly and she answers very quickly. We had a wonderful holiday.

Pleasant stay

We stayed during a very cold week, but the cottage warmed up nicely! Well located near some famous walks and beauty spots. The owner was very helpful and prompt with replies to any queries. Recommended.

Short break before school

Had a great time, only stayed a couple of days but packed a lot in. Wanted to show the boys the delights of the Derbyshire Dales. Poole's Cavern was a hit as were the hills above Abney. Rowsley Station was interesting even though we just missed the last train. Cottage had every thing we needed, well situated.

Wir haben eine tolle Woche verbracht.Das Cottage ist sehr gemütlich.Der Kontakt mit Caroline sehr nett. Im Dorf ist alles was man braucht in 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Short stay

Nicely decorated and furnished cottage. Loads of utensils and cookware in the kitchen. Road a little busy during the day with large lorries and farm vehicles but doesn’t impact on the cosy cottage environment.

Beautiful village

We had 3 lovely nights in The Nook, it was conveniently located close to all amenities. As we had a dog it would have been helpful to know where to take him to do he's business, as the property doesn't have a garden. The kitchen window and door could do with a blind as it would give some privacy, also on the front door window, maybe a little curtain. Could also do with some new towels and bed linen, as they seem a bit worn and dated. These are only minor issues and we would definitely stay here again. The village has 3 pubs , a co-op , a bakery, a chip shop, it has everything you require all in close proximity. The Star inn is a great homely place to dine out. Thanks Tideswell, we will be back.

lovely, just needs a few tweaks

lovely little cottage, says it can accommodate 6, however living area and kitchen would definitely be a squeeze for 6. Bathroom is very small and although adequate again not big enough for 6 people, and has no extractor fan. Has everything you need. however kitchen is lacking a decent bottle opener, bedding could do with an upgrade, bobbled due to use and washing. Beds are too soft for our liking however they are adequate. Only one key for each door and not up to fire precautions for exiting. All that being said lovely cottage and had a great break.

Coy cottage

The location of the property was good, The property was very cramped for 4 adults a teenager and young boy . We were expecting a patio area where we could sit but found it belonged to a (very unfriendly)neighbour. However we took our grandsons to the park next door. We cleaned the shower curtain on arrival as lt had mildew on the bottom, also had to clean the washing machine before we could use it . Overall we felt that the standard could have been higher considering the amount of money we paid...i dont mean this as a criticism, i just feel that i needed to be honest.

This cottage had everything we needed to have a wonderful stay. Like going from home to home. When I needed to contact the owner she responded very promptly. Directions and instructions on getting in the cottage were clear and sent in a timely manor. Cottage was clean and well maintained will definitely be returning.

excellent location

Everything you need is right there. Both in the property and in the surrounding areas. Go out the front door and turn right, there are 4 pubs all well great good and dog friendly. Brilliant chippy (Elliotts) and cafes, co op etc but it is still a beautiful sleepy village with a lovely church and all in walking distance. The nearest trail (that we found) is 1.2 miles drive heading out past the post office. Look for signs for picnic area. Great to let the dog run free. The cottage has everything you need and is really well presented. We would definitely return. Many thanks Chris and Karen
