"The location of this hotel is ideal. Close to Michigan City, New Buffalo and a 5 min walk to the lake. The hotel offers so many things for the convenience of the guests. We stayed in Suite 11 which happens to be the only room with direct balcony access overlooking the pool which was great. We had 1 bedroom and a couch with a pull out bed. The bedroom bed was excellent however the pull out bed was sub par. Extremely uncomfortable. There was no maid service or turndown service like a normal hotel...

"We love this location. The landscaping was beautiful. We didn’t use the hot tub as it is not in a secluded location. But we still love this little spot and look forward to our next visit. "

"The Blue Bird House was perfect for our brief stopover near Indiana Dunes to visit with friends. Communication was excellent! Check in and check out was easy-peasy! Kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. Fenced yard was great for giving our dog a little room to stretch. Bunkbeds were perfect for our teens. I wish we could have stayed longer, but I would definitely stay here again when we're back in the area."

"Enjoyed three nights at this property to hike the dunes. Location was good, towards the West side of the park but an easy drive to multiple hikes. Also had the option to walk directly from the house for the Miller Woods trail and Miller Woods Beach. Backyard was great for relaxing after a day of hiking. Grill was easy to use with the hard lined gas and hot tub was clean and enjoyable. If you do bring more than 2 cars, the remote lot is at the Miller train stop about a mile south. Was a bit...

"We had a great stay at the Funky Turtle. The house was clean and just enough space for my family of 5. The house is close to campground bathrooms if the occasional extra bathroom is needed. We enjoyed the fire pit, use of the grill, and sitting on the porch. Our only complaint is about the noise but it was clear from the map that the campground was located near an interstate. "We stayed in the Troll's Den with our family of 4 and it was just perfect. Easy checkin and good amenities. The property manager communicated everything that we needed to know and got us wristbands for the amenities, including paddle boats and playground. It was less than a mile walk to the beach. Lake Michigan was cold because we were there in May, so it felt like we had the beach to ourselves. Overall a great trip. The kids keep asking when we can go back."

"The yard is awesome, of course the hot tub at the top of the hill was the best, and we enjoyed the firepit as well. The house was a tidy little cottage at which we enjoyed our stay. It’s within a short walk to the National Park and downtown Miller Beach. The neighborhood is fine, pretty secluded, and still close to most attractions."

"We really enjoyed the property. Even though the house is dated, there are a lot of little perks: beautiful view, extra drinking water, coffee, snacks, and clean white linens. The walk to the beach is a little more strenuous than expected. I would visit here again! "

"The property was fine and clean, but I would not stay there again because the mattresses were VERY uncomfortable. The mattresses in all the bedrooms were very stiff, even my 9 year old commented on it. There were also a few items that felt like they were missing: no hairdryer in the bathroom was the biggest one, but there could be hooks put on the wall in the bathroom to accommodate more towels if you have more than 2.people staying there, and a pair of scissors added to the kitchen utility...
