"Wonderful experience from start to finish. Beautiful surroundings and wonderful food. Hotel staff were always friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our chats with Theo and Grant. "Our family stayed at Swartberg Country Manor for one night in February. The first thing that greeted us was the beautiful grounds, and restaurant with a stunning view of the mountain. Then we saw a beautiful historic house with a big old stoep; here we enjoyed 3 very comfortable rooms. And let me not forget the kind and professional staff, including their head chef who made the most wonderful 3 course dinner! A gem! Thank you for a lovely stay. "

"Bitte auf dem Weg Richtung Weimland nicht dran vorbeifahren. Ein Juwel. Unglaublich hilfsbereites, freundliches und immer gut gelauntes Personal. Die Zimmer sehr sauber, freundlich und hell gestaltet. Das Frühstücksbuffet sehr vielfältig und ausreichend, das Abendessen mit guter Auswahl. Alles in allem wirklich weiter zu empfehlen um einen guten Aufenthalt in der Karoo zu haben. "

"La Plume was gorgeous-the best place that we stayed during our journey of the Garden Route. The suites were so nicely appointed and super spacious. The breakfast was delicious and we were disappointed that we missed dinner (it was only a 3-course meal). I loved taking a bath in the beautiful bathroom and went for a run at sunrise through the ostrich farms. It’s only about a half hour from Cango Caves. My only regret is that we could not stay longer. "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at old Mill. We were in one of the tents which have air conditioning, which was nice since it was a little warm and it was on the river driving by the other places I think we made the right choice. Dinner was fantastic My only complaint is they say it’s working ostrich farm so I was really looking forward to seeing and interacting with ostriches. They had four that you could feed mind you. They bite a little lol and 20 or so as you leave. Besides that great place"

"Die Inhaber sind sehr freundlich und um das Wohlergehen bemüht. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Von den Inhabern erhält man super Restaurant Tipps und auch Tipps für die Umgebung, respektive Ausflüge. Das Zimmer war sauber und sehr ordentlich. Die Unterkunft war in einem sehr gepflegten Zustand. "

"We had a wonderful time staying at the Gumtree. The host was very sweet and helped us with great ideas of things to do and see while in the area. The breakfast was tasty with choices of hot and cold items, fresh made bread, and fresh fruit cups. The location was quiet, but within walking distance to good restaurants. "
