Nous avons passé un séjour « wonderful» comme dirait l’hôte ,en famille dans un lieu idéal au milieu de la campagne entouré de champs et surtout de tranquillité et de silence.Les hôtes ont été super avec nous.Un grand merci à eux.

Beautiful peaceful location - nothing but fields and woods in the immediate surroundings, but a short walk (30min) to the local village, and a short drive (7min) to the nearest town and hypermarket and well located for many attractions (it’s about an hour or so to Mont St Michel, Laval, Sainte Suzanne etc), and if you’re in an EV there is a very cheap fast charger about 30min away on the outskirts of Domfront. House itself was actually much larger than it seemed in the pictures, and there was a huge amount of space outside for the kids to play in, and plenty of spaces to sit and read a book in the shade. Hosts were very helpful and welcoming without ever being intrusive.

Fantastic property on a lovely quiet location. mark and Sue were on hand if needed, and very friendly and welcoming hosts. Everything you would need in the property to enjoy your stay. Unfortunately the weather wasn't kind enough to let us enjoy the pool, but even this was well maintained in case we had the chance to use it. Loads to do in the area, and a very family friendly place. If we ever stayed anywhere twice we would absolutely go back, but for now, on to the next adventure!

Huisje was netjes en de eigenaren waren zeer behulpzaam. Niet alles wat op de advertentie stond was beschikbaar/aanwezig, zoals poolbiljart, tafeltennistafel. Locatie was verder zoals verwacht en voldeed aan de eisen.

Perfect peaceful holiday

I don't want to say how lovely it was at this gite as I want to be able to book again when we're next in the area! Very friendly owners, around to help if needed otherwise they leave you alone. Huge flat gardens with lovely flowers/trees and shrubs. Plenty of garden furniture and places to sit and eat out, sunbathe or chill in the shade. Pool was big enough for 4 of us, a little chilly at but still nice for cooling off! Gite was clean and had plenty of kitchen utensils and big sofas which can seat 6 very comfortably (although there was 4 of us). Supermarket nearby, places to visit and local walks.

Family Catch Up

Perfect little get away in a very quiet spot. Great for walking our dog! Bakery a short bike ride away. As were supermarkets etc.. plenty of space to sit inside and out. Very easy going owners at hand if you need them, but leave you alone to enjoy the stay.

Beautiful holiday home in a quiet area

We had a wonderful holiday in a typical French holiday home. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. The area is very quiet, so you quickly have to make many kilometers on mostly narrow roads. A must for a trip is Mont Saint Michel, easy to combine with Saint Malo. The city of Angers is also very beautiful. For sporting activities (climbing forest or swin golf) you can go to Gorron.

We really enjoyed our stay

Mark & Sue are wonderful ! They are present when you need them, without being intrusive. They make sure that everything's fine anytime. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. You'll find all you need, there. Not having to bring your own sheets and towels is really appreciated. The garden is really big and nice. You'll be enchanted and enjoy your stay, for sure. Absolutely recommend. Thank you to our hosts.

Countryside escape

We had a lovely stay in Mark and Sue’s property. The location is very tranquil and a great place to explore from. Mark and Sue were very welcoming and helpful. The house is great with plenty of space and is well equipped. We would definitely stay again.

We (family of 4, kids aged 6 and 8) have just returned from a week at this lovely location. The owners couldn't have been nicer or more helpful (even getting my washing in for me when it started to rain and we were out!). The house is a good size, clean and well equipped. The location is rural and beautiful - we saw deer, birds of prey and hares all in the field by the house. Locally we visited Fougeres, Mayenne and Laval which are beautiful historic towns. Further afield we travelled to Bayeux to see the tapestry and then to Aramanches for the world war 2 sites. We also went to Mont St Michel. For something different we visited the enchanted garden which is a small and inexpensive theme park with need walkways, inflatables, mini golf and zip wires. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend.

Comfortable rustic retreat.

We enjoyed our stay at Les Mezerais. It is rural, and a car is needed to explore the area. Mark and Sue were very friendly and helpful. The surrounding area of Garron had some eateries and an activity park with zip wires and pitch and put (and foot-golf). The house is rustic, but comfortable. However, the wifi is practically non-existent, and no phone signal. It was nice to see the children without their phones, because they had to talk to us, but made it difficult to "google" what was in the area. Mark did find us information though. The house is hard to find, and after initially getting directions from the local mayor living close by (who was very genial) we used "what3words" to find our way back each day we headed back - /// shires.incompetent.heartless// if you want to locate it. It is rural, so there are insects and very large, though slow wasps. The shops in Brece are shut on a Sunday, but the local French restaurant that is open at lunchtime is well worth a mention - local fair, well cooked and good service. Also Bubba's in Garron a pizzeria, run by British ex-pats, and the food is delicious - open Thursday through to Saturday, who also do take-aways.

Brilliant holiday

We had a brilliant holiday in this lovely and authentic French gite. After our arrival and very warm welcome by Mark and Sue we enjoyed a nice welcome pack (wine, coffee, milk, bread butter etc.) and went for dip in the swimming pool. Our dog had a great time in the (fenced off) garden and also really enjoyed the shade underneath the big tree. The gite is very complete (towels, tea towels, comfy beds (already)made, toiletries, well equipped kitchen, sky tv). It's a very peaceful and quiet location but with shops and restaurants close by. The following days we explored the surrounding area and were very happy with all the tips and information Mark gave us. He even made a reservation in a local restaurant for us. We felt very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be booking again.
