Powdermill Resort economy-level Condo across from the Big Powderhorn Mountain Ski Resort and just minutes from Black River Harbor, Copper Peak, Blackjack and Indianhead Big Snow Resorts.

This is a top floor two-story condo overlooking a beautiful forested area above the Powdermill Creek just north of Powdermill Falls. The condo was totally remodeled in 2020 with new kitchen, bathroom, carpet, fixtures, and more.

The kitchen has a refrigerator with freezer big enough for your provisions and perhaps the day's catch, an electric stove/oven, microwave and coffeemaker. The kitchen is stocked with plates, bowls, utensils, pots, pans, and more.

The full bathroom features a shower with adjustable head, tub, toilet, and vanity. The bathroom is stocked with linen service including towels and washcloths.

The living room features a solid oak dining room table, with 4 chairs (a 5th is in the closet you can use), pull-out sofa sleeper and LED smart TV with cable package. The closet also has a cot and linens.

The master suite features a queen bed, workstation, vanity, and additional storage. Note that there is stairs in the unit. No elevator on site.

If you stay in this unit you will not be disappointed. Do not let the outside or “lobby” area be your judgment. Our condo was very nice and very clean. I can’t say what any of the rest are as they are owned by different owners. It is quiet and we even had a little fire in the little fire pit provided. It is a bit off the main highway but we were fine with that.

A very nice and cutely decorated place. The condo was very clean and served our needs. The building is a little old and did slightly smell, but it was not noticeable once in the condo. Overall a great place and would stay again!

Perfect for a small family ski getaway!

The property was exactly as described and was a great deal. The location was perfect for skiing at Big Powderhorn and Snowriver resorts. We loved that the condo it was dog-friendly, had a fun local vibe, and had cozy decor. We had a great time watching movies and playing games in the evenings. We also used the kitchen quite bit and were able to make several meals without needing to go out. Would stay here again!

Ski getaway

This cozy, budget-friendly condo in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is an excellent choice for skiers and winter enthusiasts looking for a simple, no-frills place to stay. My partner and I spent 10 days here during our winter ski trip, and it was perfect for our needs. The condo itself is small but charming, clean, and well-maintained, offering enough space for two people. While it doesn’t come with any luxuries or fancy amenities, it had all the essentials we needed, including a functional kitchenette that allowed us to prepare meals and save money on dining out. The overall vibe was warm and practical, making it a comfortable home base after long days on the slopes.The standout feature of this condo is its unbeatable location. It’s just a short drive from Big Powderhorn Mountain, making it incredibly convenient for skiing and snowboarding. The surrounding area is stunning in the winter, with picturesque snow-covered landscapes that added to the charm of our stay. The building itself is a bit dated and shows signs of wear, but our unit was in good condition and felt cozy. For the price, the value was outstanding—it’s hard to find affordable accommodations so close to a major ski area. If you’re looking for a no-nonsense, budget-friendly place to stay that prioritizes location and practicality over luxury, this condo is a fantastic option. We’d happily return for future ski trips!

Good find in the category/price range

I was quite satisfied with this property for a short Ironwood area ski trip. As others have mentioned, there is some initial awkwardness with the entry and hallways but the actual unit is well-appointed, the pictures and description were accurate. Greatly enjoyed having a small kitchen and a separate sleeping area compared to a standard hotel layout when considering lodging options in the area for a similar size and price range. Property is easy to find on a well-maintained road - which I came to appreciate given the frequency of snow and sometimes poor cell reception in the area.

Bessemer ski lodge

The unit was nice and as appeared in the listing. The unit was clean and well appointed. It worked out very well for our impromptu ski weekend. If i could suggest an area of improvement it would be the matress in the loft. It was very uncomfortable.

We enjoyed the Loft Ski Condo

Fantastic location. Really nice unit!!! Very WARM! Had the window open the whole time we were there…. In the winter Once you get past the closed down conference center commons areas…. The unit is very very nice!We cook so the fully stocked kitchen was a plus. Couple use some new pots and pans. Concerns : After a long day of skiing … comfort is key when you come back to rest and relax. The sofa sleeper was soooo uncomfortable to sit on. It seriously hurt my bottom! Please consider an update. Same with the mattress. A bed in a box on Amazon is under 300 and would be so much more comfortable than what is there That’s all. We really, overall, enjoyed our stay!!!! And with lift ticket prices as high as they have become … the unit was a fantastic bargain! Al and Eric - Shawano, WI

Lovely loft in the UP.

We loved our stay in this wonderfully decorated loft. The kitchen had everything we needed and the owner was quick to reply to any questions. Looking forward to making a return visit here in the future.

Served its purpose

Found this little condo very close to an event I was attending this summer. I just needed a place to shower and sleep this covered both. Cosy but enough room if you had small group. I’m sure it’s a different feel in the winter packed full of skiers, summers kinda empty only say one other person while I was here. With the small kitchen I would definitely bring your food not to much around. Over all a good experience

Difficulty finding:No property name given to us, no address out front, only a HORRIBLY run down outside structure and premise that didn’t look like picture in advertisement. Entry: Dirty, far from welcoming, locked gates across what should have been commons areas. No security to building, multiple areas for intruders to lurk. Room: Opening door to unit was like entering a sauna. No way to control heat (noted as problem in comments written in book in unit in 2021). Ran air conditioner 24/7 and had windows open,just to be able to breath. Couldn’t sleep in loft bed, due to heat, so forced to sleep on poor quality hide-a-bed. Sat on dining room chair and glue joints separated almost causing a fall. Lighting: Poor lighting preventing any reading by couch or playing any games. We would not recommend this place to anyone. Booking through Expedia, we thought we would get a place with some quality. This place should be reviewed if you plan on keeping on your listing.
