"Check in was easy and they had given us an upgrade which was a bonus. Room very comfortable and clean. Tea, coffee machine and proper milk. A very special treat were some sweet treats. Had an evening meal and both chose burgers which we enjoyed. Small menu but was ok. Excellent sleep in a huge bed, room very dark so slept in. Breakfast had a good choice that was cooked to order. Can recommend the smoked salmon and scrambled egg on toast. All the staff were friendly and worked hard. Thank you"

"Clean. Friendly staff. Pretty basic, but very well priced, so I consider it a good value."

"We had a lovely stay here. Everyone was very welcoming, friendly and attentive. Upon arrival we had to wait for our room to be ready and had a drink in the garden which was so peaceful. Our room was very spacious and we had alot of space to put our clothes away, the bed was nice but it was two beds put together and it was very clear, but nothing major still had the best sleep. The shower was amazing great water pressure and good temperature. "

"A great experience. Original idea of using a closed railway station and Pulman carriages works really well. My only suggestion would be the ability to have alcoholic refreshments. "

"I arrived with a blown out tyre only to find that I was actually booked into the northbound hotel not the south bound one. Staff were amazing swapped my booking over to the southbound one helped me organise a mobile tyre company and were kind and compassionate."

"Parking charge of £10 is unnecessary and should be included with room booking. Fire alarm went off 3 times as a false alarm which meant going up and down the stairs with luggage and kids as lift stopped working. The room with 2 double beds was spacious and clean The staff are great though. Particularly the lady that was on reception evening of 6 June kind and helpful. "Absolutely fantastic, the staff are really lovely and welcoming. The hotel and grounds are first class. Food in the restaurant and bar is very well presented and delicious. The room was spotless and had everything we needed. If you're ever in Horsley this hotel is definitely worth staying in. A short walk from the hotel is the towers, a stately hall with stunning surroundings. The rates for the room is excellent value for money. If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely be booking another...

"Lovely hotel with extremely helpful staff. The room was large with lovely bathroom and was very clean. We ate two nights in the HarBar and enjoyed both meals. Staff in the restaurant were very helpful making sure our allergies were attended to. Several staff asked us if we needed help with anything. Great hotel and staff."
