"Nice old pub great landlord, food very good. 3 real ales kept well. Room was very big , bathroom nice. But could of been cleaned better, urine stains down front of toilet and not cleaned under seat. Over areas were in need of a deep clean. "

"Great short stay. Our room oozed character and history, enhanced by top quality fittings. Bed was enormous and super comfy. Breakfast was absolutely spot on. Complimentary bottles(!) of gin and whisky and the posh shower toiletries topped it all off."

"Only two words of advice - stay here. The staff is super helpful, the rooms are comfy, and the setting is beautiful. Enjoyed a lovely walk on the trails leading from the Inn past farms, a pond, horses. Met the most delightful locals along the way. Clean and comfy with a delightful "pub" restaurant."

"What a wonderful place to stay. Everything was fabulous. Including the shampoo and conditioner and body products they leave in the bathroom. Wow… And the food at the restaurant is spectacular."

"Very clean and spacious rooms. Good breakfast. Didn’t have dinner but the restaurant looked inviting and the old mill mechanism was very interesting. The pebbles on the pathway leading to the bedrooms made wheeling suitcases difficult but we got help from a staff member who carried them to our car."

"The pub was beautiful and I loved every minute there. My surname is Francis and i was even give the room name of Francis Francis. I had a lovely stroll through the village.... Beautiful chocolate box village. Definitely A*"

"Very nice hotel. Probably the top one in the area. Great garden, clean room, nice furniture. Areas to improve: the desk was a little small. The bedroom door was heavy & knob was in a strange location - you may get your fingers trapped if you are closing the door without thinking."

"The Old Vine is a wonderful property. It blends historic charm with the best of modern comfort. The breakfast is served generously and quite delicious. We must mention Mitchell who does it all and made our stay even more special. Thanks! Last but not least, the location could not be better—directly across from the cathedral, and a stone’s throw from the charming old town. Hope to return soon. "
