"The room was a quaint, clean and comfortable space. Very short drive to the beach and restaurants. I only spent one night here but would love to return for future trips."

"Hotel is right on the beach with shops and restaurants nearby. Breakfast on the sun deck was great with a wonderful view. The pie and ice cream was a lovely treat. The old charm of the rooms was inviting. The bathroom could have been bigger but we had a great stay."

"A sleepy motel look from the outside but like a comfortable home inside. We loved staying at the Shell Beach Inn in a quiet part of Pismo. The suite is more like a one bedrroom owners accomodation, Rm 11 and definately would stay again. Some traffic noise, but, the beds have ear plugs on the night stands. To save money, you could stay in rm 9 which we saw & was equally welcoming. Dont forget to enjoy their pool too."

"Booked two rooms here while driving south and am so lucky they were available. This hotel doesn't have alot of amenities - no hotel restaurant, no hotel lobby, etc, but the customer service, the rooms and the location are hard to beat. Book here if you want a room to enjoy Pismo Beach area at a great value. I would stay here over and over as the staff were amongst the kindest I've encountered.- kinda like a bed and breakfast without the breakfast, but one block from the beach. Highly recommend...

"I was upgraded due to over booking which was GREAT. Clean room, friendly staff, pool was great at first, but very concerning because some guests didn't follow the rules by having their pets in the pool and one dog peed on base of the hand rail for the Jacuzzi, glad staff noticed and professionally reminded the guests about the rules. Overall me and my family stay was great."

"Gorgeous and clean, while at a great price"

"We called the front office about a noise complaint, there were people with a big dog staying in the room above ours, for house we just heard footsteps, furniture moving, dog barking and footsteps. We called the next morning asking for a different room and was told if there was a complaint they would talk to them. Next night new people were staying above us and showed up drunk yelling at each other at midnight. I had to turn the tv on and the ac unit on due to not waking my dog and my pregnant...
