  • Cecil`s Chair - Blackheath Cottage with a View Welcome to Cecil`s Chair, a three-bedroom and two-bathroom cottage that is located in Blackheath in greater Sydney`s famous Blue Mountains . `The house with a view` is located in an area known locally as `Paradise Hill`; it backs directly onto Porter`s Pass and offers breathtakingly beautiful uninterrupted views over the Kanimbla Valley. Cecil`s Chair is perfect for couples or group retreats. It boasts one King bedroom, two Queen bedrooms, three sitting areas and two bathrooms both equipped with spa-baths. Simply relax in the sitting room watching the mist lift over the valley in the morning or the sun setting in the evening. Enjoy cooking a meal in the well equipped kitchen, take advantage of the culinary delights and shopping in Blackheath and surrounds or take a walk along Porter`s Pass, with the start of this bushwalk 100 metres from the front door. With a comfortable perch on Cecil`s Chair you can immerse yourself in everything the Blue Mountains has to offer. If you are seeking a more adventuress experience you may consider para-gliding off Mount Blackheath, rock climbing at one of the numerous climbs accessed from Blackheath or abseiling and horse riding. For a more relaxing escape, enjoying the peaceful and varied village atmosphere or simply soak in the master spa and take in the views! A great long weekend with family

For a holiday house it litterally ticks all of the boxes for a family long weekend in the Blue Mountains. The views were exactly as pictured with the most amazing sunsets, the kitchen was well equipped, the bluetooth speaker was way better than expected, the list goes on. We completed two bush walks from the house. Highly recommended!

Totally relaxing

We had one complaint....we didn't book to stay long enough! The house and grounds exceeded expectations. Thank you to the owners for the meticulous care taken with the property. The art work is sensational and the fixtures make the property both comfortable and aesthetically pleasing - something we're not usually fussed with but really made a difference. All the essentials were wonderful - heating, comfy beds, clean, well appointed. A true getaway with no need to think about bringing anything.

Perfection

Beautiful cottage in perfect surroundings. The view is unbelievable, I can't imagine finding better in the Blue Mountains. The Reidl family are amazing hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them. The cottage is thoughtfully appointed with everything you could ask for in hand. The spa bath overlooking the Megalong Valley is a once in a lifetime experience. Simply magical.

The views from the living room and bathroom were spectacular! The artwork was interesting and eclectic. Comfy beds. The kitchen was stocked with nearly every cooking utensil you could need. Lots of books and puzzles. Would highly recommend.

Fabulous view and very comfy house

Our second visit to Cecil's Chair. It always feels so special when you walk through the door and see the view into the valley. The bathroom also has an amazing view. Fabulous books to browse as you sit in the comfy chairs and watch the ever changing view. We will be back.
