Heard a lot of road noise at night but, I think any motel in that area is going to be right on the road. Very close proximity to Big Trees and Murphys where they have a really cute old Main Street. Definitely a mountain hideaway hidden down winding roads. We arrived a little later than we wanted and had to scramble back to Sonora to get food cause most things closed at 8 pm. Definitely a neat little place but eat before you get there or get there early"

"I stayed in room 244, they called it the dungeon. It was super loud next to an exit door and there was utility staff at 6:30am walking around exiting and you can hear everything so loudly. Also, you need to take stairs to get to this room. I have a bad back and had to carry my luggage down sets of stairs. I should have been offered a room where I didn’t have to use physical stairs to carry my luggage or they should have offered bell service to carry it. There were plenty of rooms on the 2nd...

"The breakfast was mid"

"The room was not clean. There was a dirty duvet on the bed. When we arrived. There were dirty decorative pillows on the bed. There was a crush can from the previous guest under the couch. The TV was poor quality amenities were limited. The breakfast was terrible the only thing saving Grace was you could make a waffle. The Furniture was questionable to sit safely. We understand it's a historic hotel but the service and the quality of furniture doesn't have to be historic."
