Nice touch of leaving a bottle of bubbly in the fridge - a good sign that the hosts are attentive. The apartment itself is well furnished and equipped, and really does feel like a home from home. "The room was very comfortable and impeccably clean. Access was easy using the door enrty codes provided. Wifi was good and easy to log onto. The Guest house was also vey quiet, with no disturbances. I used the breakfast room before I left, and ate granola, greek yoghurt and blueberries with a Coffee latte. These were dispensed from a vending machine, but were fresh and tasted lovely. Bowls, mugs and cuttlery were available. The staff I met were also friendly and chatty. I would highly recommend...

"We had a wonderful stay at The Grand, York. The rooms are big, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was excellent, and the shower was powerful and relaxing — exactly what you want after a long day. The food was very good, with great quality and variety, and the service throughout the hotel was outstanding.
