Lake Street Carriage House

The Lake Street Carriage House is a fully renovated 1860's carriage house located in the heart of Picton, Ontario.

Great for families, multiple friends, and couples looking to be within walking distance to all restaurants, shops and Theatre. It is a 10 minute drive to the Sandbanks Provincial Park, and close to all the County's wineries, distilleries, and craft breweries. It is also steps from the Millennium Trail for those who enjoy jogging, walking and biking. If Golf is what you are looking for it is only a 5 minute drive to the Picton Golf & Country Club.

Set back from the road, the Carriage House provides the space and privacy to enjoy your down time after a long day of exploring all the County has to offer. A two-story three bedroom home that has been renovated and restored to ensure that the history of the building has been maintained wherever possible, while still providing a destination that affords you all the amenities that you would want to ensure that the time spent at the house is as enjoyable and relaxing as possible.

The main floor consists of an open concept floor plan with full kitchen, a living area with a gas fireplace, laundry room, half bathroom, a large fenced in private backyard and deck with a 6 person hot tub that can be used year round, BBQ, and outdoor propane fireplace/heater.

The second floor has three bedrooms; the master is very spacious with a sitting area and features a king size bed. The second room offers a Queen, and the third bedroom offers two twin size beds. It also includes a 4-piece bathroom with soaker tub and a walk in shower.

Approximately 2.5 hours from Toronto and Ottawa, 3.5 hours from Montreal and is located in the heart of Picton, Ontario

Picton provides multiple options for getting around, including, Taxi's, Limo services for wine tours, and bike rentals(Bloomfield).

A Sandbanks Provincial Park Pass is included while staying at the Carriage

Hot Tub is year round.
Due to policy changes, if you’re staying with children under 12, we ask that a waiver be signed confirming they’ll be supervised at all times in and around the hot tub. The waiver can be signed upon arrival, and copies are in the Notes Folder on the desk in the kitchen.

An amazing place to stay

Great week in the county

This Carriage House was the best rental we have had in the County over the past 11 years at a fair price and excellent amenities. The kitchen and bedrooms are all well appointed. Clean, spacious and quiet

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay here. The property was clean and very well maintained. We were pleasantly surprised by how large it was! The photos don’t do it justice. It rained during one of the days of our stay, so we were able to take full advantage of the amenities and catch up on our laundry with the included washer and dryer :) My only wish would be to have hooks behind the doors and in the bathrooms to hang our wet bathing suits and towels. A drying rack would also have done the trick. Aside from the lack of hooks, everything was perfect.

Great Home

We were on a girls golf getaway. Very convenient location. Close to LCBO and restaurants. The house is exactly as shown in the pictures. Relaxing in the hot tub after golf was an added bonus. We all want to return next year.

Lovely home away from home

The property is lovely, everything you need is available for an enjoyable stay. Because the county is wine country taxi service needs to be *better*. My sisters in law and myself are in our 60’s and 70’s and we were unable to get a taxi service after dinner, we walked took us 45 min and I was nervous. It was 10:30 when we got back to the house. My one sister in law is unable to walk easily, it was challenging and frustrating. The property and house were 100%.

Beautiful Home

This home was amazing, we really enjoyed our stay. The house was spotless, the kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need/want. The beds were comfortable. Both the hot tub and outdoor fire table were lovely. The house is a great location, very close to the main strip in Picton. Overall, I have nothing negative to say, we were very happy with our visit and would 100% recommendation!

Practically Perfect

The property was lovely, spotless, well outfitted. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit. The hosts were amazingly welcoming and responsive. We suggest they improve the signage that marks the location as it was very difficult to see. Perhaps some shelves inside the closet of the second bedroom for folded clothes. We would definitely recommend this property to others. Great getaway!

Incredible stay

It is such a beautiful, charming home. A nice greeting card and a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival immediately made us feel welcome. This home is equipped with all necessities and more. Feeling home right from the start

Our family of five stayed in the Carriage house for a week. Everyone was pleased with the space and we felt home right away! It was very nice to be in the area of Picton and it gave us the opportunity to travel easily to the beaches and other towns around. We’re heading back to Québec city with great memories of our stay and we’ll definitely be back in the area… Probably again to the carriage house.

Absolutely perfect!

Charming, cozy, comfortable, exceptionally clean, open concept on main floor felt very spacious for a group. Wonderful blend of modern amenities in kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms while keeping design features of the historic carriage house. Lovely private backyard and patio. Location very close to mainstreet. Walkable to restaurants, shops.
