"Our door had a large gap at the top, the comforter had cigarette burns in them, and there was a water leak from under the sink. We asked the front desk if we could switch rooms and he told us “well, it’s an older hotel, what can you expect?”. Our bathroom door did not actually latch close and with four adults sharing a room we had to go on the honor system."

"We had a great stay. Huge bonus that the parking garage was adjacent to the hotel and INCLUDED. Staff was very responsive and friendly. Hotel was clean and inviting. You are right on the St Charles street car line so definitely invest in the jazzy pass for getting around town! Would have said 5 stars but some amenities we would have liked to see - in room microwave (you have to share one microwave for the whole floor), the closets were too shallow to hold our hanging clothes, and only one tiny...

"Small intimate boutique hotel. Very comfortable rooms but they are small. If you are of larger size you may find the restrooms difficult to navigate. Also sliding barn door on the restroom provides less sound proofing if you are sharing a room with someone. Really enjoyed the comfortable beds and pillows. Air-conditioner is mounted on wall above one of the beds which works well but may bother some who do like the direct air flow. Lobby coffee shop and bar is really cozy and inviting. Free Fresh...

"The location was ideal for Essence Fest - convenient, central, and well-positioned. Everything else fell short of acceptable. On our second night, we discovered bed bugs in our room. We have it on video. For a hotel operating at full capacity during one of the largest cultural events of the year, this is an inexcusable failure in basic hospitality standards. "I live an hour outside New Orleans so our family enjoys a staycation in the city about once a year. With that said I have stayed at many hotels all over the city and the Henrietta is my new favorite. It was clean, new, quiet. The views of the streetcar were so nice. The coffee shop and lobby was great, and the room was top luxury you can get in a city like New Orleans. Can’t wait to go back"
