"We only stayed a single night on the way to Johannesburg airport, but we enjoyed all of it. Wonderful room with fantastic views and a G/T on the terrace. Nice homecooked dinner and breakfast and overall just great service. We felt very welcome. Only downside was that the mosquitoes were as happy to see us as Holger and Norma. Glad this is not a malaria area. "

"A Perfect Escape at Valley of the Rainbow Our stay at Valley of the Rainbow was absolutely fantastic! While there was no cellphone signal or WiFi at the chalet, it was a welcome break from technology—exactly what we needed to truly unwind. "2 weeks prior to our arrival, we sent a message, and have still not had a reply. At arrival, the host did not know we were coming and had no info about our booking. Luckily she did a good job on preparing our house quickly. Kitchen supply was very old, frying pan useless and no toaster. "

"The location of the hotel is good. The stairs down the the rooms is built for somebody with long legs and the ramp - not sure if that is for a wheel chair which I will never use. The restaurant is very over priced and its really not great food. The food at Mrs Simpson is WAY better. The fire place, having a vent right on top, the room was always smelling of smoke. Rooms do all need a little TLC. Staff is very friendly and helpful."

"OK ish to stay with dogs. However the road to get to the property is terrible terrible terrible. We slipped off the Provincial sand road due to mud. However the real challenge is to get to the farm house. Not fun at all especially when wet. We won't visit again because of challenges to get to the property. Real pity. "

"We booked and paid for a room at this establishment. Two days before we received a message by Whatsapp to tell us that there was no one at the reception after 5pm, and give us the procedure to follow to collect our keys and settle down. In the end, this establishment is a room in Airbnb... that's not what we wanted. So we went elsewhere, to a real hotel with people to welcome you and take care of you."
