"Friendly staff, great central location. We had a 3 bed room, which was great. Not many of those around! Breakfast was good as well."

"Not sure how often this is an issue but they were training new staff that day and our wasn’t ready until 7:30ish. Not a huge deal, but if you plan on checking in at 4 you might want to call ahead and let them know what time you’re planning on checking in. The complaints about it being hot don’t make sense to me because truly the ocean breeze does keep it very cool and I didn’t find it to be hot at all."

"Well, there wasn’t much to like about this property. When you closed the door it didn’t lock, the only way to lock it was to use the dead bolt, this was a problem when you left for dinner and your belongings are in the room. Had the manager look at it, he was able to close the door by slamming it, this wasn’t a light slam, you really had to slam it. He said the maintenance man was off. "This is a well renovated motel right on the beach. Friendly staff, comfortable beds. I highly recommend it."

"The motel was clean, it was nice parking right in front of the room. It was spacious, although the shower was a little tight. The towels were very thin. The check in was smooth, but if you needed something it was harder to find someone to help you. It was a cute, retro motel, and the history of it was fun, especially since we were there to visit the redwoods. I gave it 4 stars because the beds weren't very comfortable. Other than that, it's great for a one night stay"

"Bed was comfortable. There were no handicap accessible rooms even though they were advertised as such. Bathroom was impossible to use with a walker."

"This hotel was super overpriced but so DIRTY. I’ve never wanted to leave a place so bad. There were leaves in the clean sheets and the comforters smelled of smoke even though its was non smoking. The floors looked and felt as if they have never been cleaned."

"Super friendly staff but overall with the key card issues and the price we had to pay for the holiday weekend we definitely wouldn’t go back! The breakfast was included with the deal but it was hit or miss if the key would work to get into the restaurant/hotel room. The staff had to fix my cards and issue me new ones several times. Kids loved the pool."

"If Moby Dick were sent via Morse Code, that would best describe the constant, low-level noise in room 125 (in the back corner of the property). We asked that they try to figure it out and were told it was coming from some equipment outside and along the back wall of the motel. Other than that, it was fine and as expected for the location and price. Nice to have another bed and pullout for the kids! "

"It was a good stay overall. As a solo traveler the area felt a little sketchy and I didn’t love the open breezeways. Bed was super comfortable and room was clean. Staff was really nice checking in"

"Room was clean but it is outdated. Location was good but the only bad was the price. Its a 50$ a night hotel but was charged 180$. The breakfast area stinks so bad as well as reception."
