"This hotel is not 5 star, it’s more like1 star. It’s very worn, poor quality furnishings and overall is extremely tired. I recently booked and when I arrived and saw the room refused to stay. The hotel wouldn’t refund or even make a gesture so do not book non refundable. I was allocated room 8 and it was like the worst B&B from the 80’s. We couldn’t work out the air conditioning but it wasn’t too warm in the room. It was quiet at night and the curtains made the room dark so easy to sleep. "Almost outside the front drive there are bus stops which is handy as The Tyndall is located on a steepish hill leading to Bear Flat above Bath where there are local shops and a pub. quite easy on the eye. It's nicely decorated throughout and kept very clean. Our room was on the ground floor and fitted with a kingsize Hypnos bed which was very comfortable indeed. The staff are very attentive and keen to help. "

"Our double room and double bed were tiny, not even a courtesy bottle of water. The room’s shape was odd, the breakfast is pretty bad. Yes, they have full English and continental tea and coffee but everything is of really low quality. And it was £259 for one night, definitely not worth that type of money. I’m not a fan of Travelodge or Premier Inn but the rooms and beds are bigger and better than this Hampton. Definitely felt ripped off at that price and won’t be returning. Not recommendable at...
