"A lovely find on our journey through southern Scotland. The view on the beach was fantastic and the room was spacious and well equipped. It was a nice touch having our kitchen stocked with our breakfast so we didnt have to dress and eat with other people before we have had coffee. Would def recommend!"

"Walking in to the hotel was beautiful but it’s so hard to get a parking space , it’s all been redecorated so went up to our room which was room 6 and it’s very dark so we had to put the lights on in the afternoon, lots of clattering and banging going on so went to reception and spoke to them and they said it was the bins getting taken out I just was checking that it wasn’t going to be like that all night , there is a middle door which was being used and it just banged shut , through the night...

"The Mecure is a walkable distance from the train station, and from its front doors and front rooms one can look right down a main avenue to the Esplanade and the Firth of Clyde. The staff was excellent, helpful, and friendly. Breakfast had a wide choice of buffet items. I also had supper two evenings in the hotel, and the wait staff plus food were very good. "No light on in hotel on arrival, front door locked, rang bell no answer, phoned hotel straight to answer machine, read note hanging off the front door deliveries to side of building, side door open nobody around went through several doors shouting hello but nobody answered went through private door and got someone who got the key for room. 83 year old lady had to then walk up four flights stairs room in the attic was family room. Went into room and put kettle on as room was cold. I went to...

"We really enjoyed our stay. Apartment had all we needed. It was really spacious and beds were extremely comfortable. Showers were fantastic. Security was second to none as Donald Trump was staying next door the weekend we stayed! Was fun to watch his motorcade go by the end of the road. Even had drones flying over and reporters doing live broadcasts on the lawn on the front of the development. Will definitely be back but don’t think Donald will be here next time."
