"The brown hen is locatedin a beautiful country setting, literally on a farm. The property was spotless and well equipped, and the hostess, Gwyneth, was warm and helpful. We absolutely hit the jackpot, selecting the Brown Hen."

"Such a good spot to stay and close to the city. Staff are all lovely. The place was spotless. Good facilities. However when we went into the communal space with the pool table and stuff. There was some people in there drinking which is fair enough. But I’ve never been chased out of a room so fast by the looks we were given as if we were invading their space. Other then that pretty happy with our stay"

"Everything was readily available, super convenient, great location and much better than a hotel. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, full kitchen, large common area and laundry facilities in the same complex. "

"Short drive from airport and excellent after hours support following delayed late night flight. Just what we (a family of 5) needed to get a good rest before walk into Cork city center."

"The staff were less than helpful, There was no car parking anywhere near the hotel. It was student accommodation and not suitable for mature aged travellers. We chose not to stay here and found another motel."

"Staff was very friendly and accomodating, which is the most important point for me. Bonus points for the gym. There is a kitchen available to make meals and watch TV. I liked the location as well - calm, quiet and with public transport nearby. "

"Great place to stay for a big group. Kitchen mâles things simple. I would recommend this place."

"This is a beautiful property with stunning views towards Kinsale. The property is very well located to a number of major sites. If you enjoy small Irish towns and countryside, you will love this location. Our children and grandchildren also enjoyed the sport field, trampoline and ping pong table. It is a great property for a family get away."

"The house is perfect for what we wanted. Looking for a place to relax and unwind, with some interesting things close by to do when wanted, but a good place to simple be peaceful and to relax. We did all we intended. Clonakilty is a great town. Grocery store nearby was perfect for all our needs. House had all the kitchen stuff necessary to make meals and feel at home. "
