Get ready to relax in our charming cabin in Clare. This cozy One-bedroom retreat features a soothing king bed, perfect for a peaceful night's sleep. It is located a stones throw from the lovely old fishing village of ballyvaughan, that was once the heart of Clare and is now part of the Wild Atlantic Way.

Spend a day in the sun on one of many beaches nearby or visit the stunning Burren and its fabulous attractions, such as Aillwee Cave and Birds of Prey Centre, Doolin Cave, Caherconnell Fort and the majestic Cliffs of Moher.

The cottage was absolutely perfect for our two week stay. We loved not having a TV and spent two whole weeks almost completely unplugged. There is no oven but we planned on dinner out most nights anyways. There were pots and pans to manage a breakfast or a grilled sandwich. The place is walking distance to the village which has several options for food and we loved Green’s pub. I highly recommend Monk’s for dinner! Highly recommend!!

Wunderbar

Das Holzhaus war die zweite Station unserer Irlandrundreise. Sie übertraf unsere Erwartungen. Am Anfang waren wir besorgt, dass die sehr nahe Straße zulaut sein würde. Das war nicht so, da die Scheiben sehr gut isoliert waren. Farblich war alles wunderbar aufeinander abgestimmt. Der Pflasterweg zum Haus sehr stilvoll gepflastert. Wir konnten sogar draußen auf der kleinen Veranda essen. Wir putzten die Holzstühle und die blaue Umrandung vom Laub des letzten Regens frei und fühlten uns auch draußen wohl. Wir genossen es auch, abends in den Ort laufen zu können, um die Pubs mit Live Musik zu erkunden. Aufgrund des guten Wetters konnten wir sogar baden im Atlantik. Unsere Gastgeberin war sehr höflich und nicht aufdringlich. So wie wir es mögen.

This is a nice little well equipped cabin in Ballyvaughan. Possibly better suited to the UK traveler who would have more of their own incidental gear. The weather was very bad during our stay and it took a while to contact the owner re the central heating though she did immediately fix the problem. For international travellers such as ourselves there needs to be a microwave to make use of the meals available at the supermarket and information on local supermarkets.

Perfect small town stay!

We loved the cottage just a short walk from main street Ballyvaughan and a reasonable drive from the cliffs of Moher. We got a great meal at Monks and then stopped by O'Loclainn's whiskey bar for a nightcap, which was one of the highlights of our trip! Excellent place to stay, would stay again.
